Being honest with yourself and those around you is very important, but in today's world you need to be diplomatic in order to maintain good relations with other members of society.

Be honest with yourself

Some women tend to deceive themselves. Sometimes, deep down, they understand that they are not completely honest with themselves and close their eyes to some moments that, in fact, do not suit them. For example, it happens that in a relationship with a young man who has long outlived its usefulness, a girl tries to find some positive moments and reinterprets the truth so as not to change her life.

Such a position cannot lead to anything good. After all, sooner or later the truth will come out, and rose-colored glasses will have to be removed. It is better to be prepared in advance for changes than to realize on one not-so-beautiful day that you spent all this time in captivity of illusions on your own initiative. Therefore, think about it and directly answer the question whether you are satisfied with the way events are developing in your life, or you think that you deserve more.

Honesty with oneself helps to determine desires, plans, goals. Sometimes a girl lives in accordance with the stereotypes accepted in society or tries to justify someone's hopes, for example, her parents. As a result, she feels unhappy. It's time to understand yourself, frankly admit whether you love what you do or want something else.

Be honest with others

Honesty with others helps build trust and a clear conscience. You don't have to hide your own opinion, but you should think about how to present your own point of view so as not to offend other members of society.

For example, you don't like something your colleague or relative is doing. You should not immediately throw your criticism on him, even if it is fair. So you will only worsen your relationship and, perhaps, even become the instigator of the conflict. Be more diplomatic: first point out the positives, and only then point out what could be improved.

The most important thing is to do it in a friendly manner and offer your own version of how to fix the situation. If you have an adequate person in front of you, you can count on his gratitude and trust in the future.

Sometimes there are situations when you are faced with a choice: lie or tell the bitter truth. For example, your friend asks your opinion about an outfit that frankly does not suit her. If you decide to take the path of truth, it is better to tell the truth. So that your friend is not offended, it is better to say that the other dress fits her much better. This way you won't tell a lie or offend your friend.
