For a person, two main goals are important in life: success and happiness. Success is career growth, an apartment, a salary, etc. And happiness is, first of all, agreement with oneself, because during life any person experiences ups and downs, faces the need to choose, finds himself in difficult situations. And the right attitude to yourself and what is happening is the most important thing.
Instructions
Step 1
The first thing to do is learn to treat yourself well, accept, understand and believe in yourself. Remember that in the life of an insecure person who does not know how to value himself as a person, people will constantly come who will offend him. Through others, the way you feel about yourself comes back to you. You are reflected in others like in a mirror.
Step 2
Develop self-esteem. To do this, you need to understand yourself, your values and needs, and live in accordance with them.
Step 3
Treat yourself like a beloved child. Be tolerant, but don't condone. Reading is constantly taking place in consciousness, information is being compared about what I am here and now, with what I should be in my view. You can reach agreement with yourself only by developing tolerance for the inevitable contradiction between the "I" of the present and the "I" of the ideal, as you would like to see yourself.
Step 4
Ask yourself how do you want to see yourself? Determine which traits you already have, and which ones need improvement, corrections, which ones need to be developed in yourself. All of these features are polar in nature. For example, sociability is isolation. And if one of them is too developed, or, on the contrary, poorly developed, this leads to discomfort, prevents you from living fully. Sometimes it happens that knowing oneself brings unpleasant sensations, the bitterness of disappointment. But this bitterness can be healing, it is important to take this as a direction of action.
Step 5
Try to reach agreement, mutual understanding with the close people around you. Try to control your emotions. Use the golden rule of ethics - treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Step 6
Introduce yourself. Divide a piece of paper into three sections. In the first part of the paper, write down what you do not like about yourself, in the second part - what you like, what brings you joy. In the third, write what you would like to have, change in yourself, in your life.
Step 7
Read carefully what is written, it will help you find yourself in life. In the part where it is noted that you do not like it, write down the answers, what you can do to change it. And opposite the entries in the last part, answer the questions of what you need to do to make it appear.
Step 8
Do not strive to achieve perfection, it is unreal. Know how to use all the best that you have, that you value in yourself. The key to being at peace with yourself is your positive attitude towards yourself, towards life, towards other people.
