In all spheres of life, the concept of perfectionism is more and more fully included. It would seem that this is good: striving for the best, eternal search - why is this not an impetus for development? But is it really so?
Perfectionism is a person's endless pursuit of excellence. Unfortunately, this only sounds beautiful, but in fact the effectiveness in this endeavor is zero point, zero tenths. It is not hard work and perseverance that lead to the best results. Most often, just the opposite is the main inhibiting force that is able to stop any undertakings.
The origins of human perfectionism are always in the sense of their own inferiority, which was formed by the environment and situations throughout the previous life. Most often, everything starts in childhood. This usually happens if the parents, instead of healthy encouragement and kind teaching, developed a failure complex in their child with their endless criticism.
Such a person cannot give a real assessment of his abilities and capabilities, but constantly strives to adjust himself and all his results to the ideal framework that he invented for himself. In most cases, the results turn out to be bleak, the already existing complexes progress in development, disbelief in oneself and one's strength grows.
Fear of inconsistency leads to the adoption of a new life position - inaction. “Than doing badly is better not to do it at all. But can this be considered a way out of this situation? The imbalance between the desired and the received, which exists primarily in the head, must be gently corrected. In all matters relating to the psychology of personality, in no case can one be hacked off the shoulder - all adjustments should be implemented gradually.
It is very important to realize that there are no ideal people, and everyone always has the opportunity to make a mistake. Moreover, this is the special value of life - in getting your own experience. Only the one who does nothing is not mistaken, but we now know that this is not an option.
You must always strive to cover the entire situation as a whole, because very often, stopping your attention on insignificant trifles and devoting all your strength to this, the main thing is out of sight. The consequences in really serious issues can be very different, so it is better to immediately act thoughtfully and consciously (the key word here is to act, and not to think and realize indefinitely).
Try to cultivate the ability to listen and, most importantly, hear others. In fact, the correct attitude to constructive criticism in most cases is already half the battle. And try to come to terms with the fact that all people are imperfect, and this is precisely the peculiarity and value of each person.
