The life of a modern person is like a whirlpool of events. We have to manage to do a lot of projects. You have to communicate with dozens or even hundreds of people a day. And the family requires the commitment of energy and attention. How to cope with things if it seems that it is impossible to keep up with everything?
Instructions
Step 1
Study time management literature. This phrase literally means "time management". If you don't have enough time, it does not mean that you have too much to do. Sometimes we get bogged down in a routine just because we don't know how to properly plan everything.
Step 2
Learn to separate the main from the secondary. Set yourself a goal - to have time to do the main thing, and not have time to do everything. Try to cross out from the plan things that can be postponed, entrusted to someone else, or done in a shortened version.
Step 3
Let go of the pursuit of excellence. Perfectionism prevents people from being effective. The desire to do everything and at once ruins many talented people. They think that if they do the cleaning, then the general. If you prepare a marketing report, then take into account everything in the world. As a result, the globality of the task is demotivating. And the lack of time does not allow to do it efficiently and on time.
Step 4
Shift some of the responsibility onto others. When analyzing everything you need to do, think about resources. These resources are not just you personally. These are colleagues, friends, relatives. A man spinning like a squirrel in a wheel looks especially deplorable against the background of relatives who do not know what to do with themselves. Assign washing dishes to a child, transfer small tasks in the office to a secretary. Share family responsibilities with your spouse. Rely on others as a resource to help you achieve your goal.
Step 5
Optimize your work. Wherever it is possible to reduce the number of actions due to technology, specialized programs, provide yourself with the tools of work. Don't be humble when it comes to improving and speeding up your work.
