Sometimes, as a result of communication with people, you need to get something from them: help, support, consent, or some kind of action. It is not always possible to convince others with arguments. However, there are other ways to influence people.
Instructions
Step 1
Show interest in the person you are communicating with. This will help you get his location. Call the individual by name more often, ask questions about himself. When a person feels that he is not indifferent to you, he will begin to feel sympathy for you in return. And for the one they like, people are always ready to do a little more than for the rest.
Step 2
Show respect for the person. You should not put pressure on him and demonstrate your intelligence. On the contrary, elevate the one from whom you want to receive some information to the rank of an expert. Then the individual will rather go to your meeting and agree to solve your problem. Emphasize the person's importance.
Step 3
Show the person their benefits. If you need to get an individual to do something, encourage him to do it with direct or indirect reward. Convince the person that he too will win if he helps you. The reward does not have to be material. For some people, praise, honor, and gratitude from the whole team are also valuable.
Step 4
Speak confidently and persuasively to influence the person from a point of view that is the opposite of yours. Give clear arguments, be calm, and present your thoughts in a logical sequence. Show that you hear your opponent. Respond to his objections with equally weighty remarks, but do not argue aggressively.
Step 5
Infect people with your own enthusiasm. Focus on solving a problem that is important to you. Think about your idea, let it spark with energy and evoke responses from other people.
Step 6
Be a pleasant person to communicate, then other people will be drawn to you, want to help and participate in your projects. Watch your appearance, be careful. Speak in a pleasant, low voice at a medium pace. Keep eye contact with the other person, smile, be relaxed. Show respect for others, try to understand their point of view.
