If you want to open up to the world and the people around you, be honest and free first of all in front of yourself. This means that you do not need to wear masks to confess something, you do not need to be ashamed of your own failures.
Instructions
Step 1
To free yourself from constraint, write on a piece of paper your fears and complexes, as well as your best sides and desires. Analyze each column carefully. Think about why you are afraid of this and how you can overcome your fear, is the list of complexes really so large, or are you simply inclined to belittle your own merits? Praise yourself for every point of your best intrinsic qualities and talents.
Step 2
Pay special attention to your wishlist. Let's say it contains something like the following item “Buy the latest model of a European brand car”. Think, do you really want this? Perhaps, if you are honest enough with yourself, it will turn out that your spouse wants a car, and you would rather dream of seeing the famous Galapagos turtles in their natural habitat. Build your wishlist, not someone else's.
Step 3
Being open in contact with other people means letting go of certain conventions. Give genuine compliments to those who deserve them, point out flaws to those who do not see them or do not want to notice. At the same time, do not go over to insults, always put yourself in the place of the interlocutor. To avoid unpleasant situations, learn to constructively criticize and accept such criticism from others.
Step 4
Observe the children. Why do you think adults love them? For the spontaneity that makes you smile or sometimes confusing, and sometimes makes you bite your tongue. For the love of life that makes them happy. For curiosity, which helps to discover endless resources for gaining knowledge. To be an open person, you need to take care of your inner “child”.
Step 5
Learn to say "thank you", and also learn the art of laughing at yourself. Know how to be responsible for your actions and admit your guilt, if any. Try to take advantage of most of the opportunities that life presents to you (of course, if they do not contradict the safety of others and the law). Openness to yourself and the world will help you get rid of remorse, and therefore, learn to live in harmony with yourself.
