Many of us dream of our own business: someone after another quarrel with the boss, someone after receiving a salary. Time passes, but nothing changes. You still go to your hired job in the morning. And only sometimes, when you have a free moment, you dream about your business again. How to get out of the vicious circle, how to do your own thing?
Instructions
Step 1
Determine what exactly now you would be able to make money. You need to think about what you do best. Do not limit yourself, let all kinds of ideas come to mind. Professionalism in a certain area will make it easier to switch to the "rails of your own business" and feel yourself in a free float.
Step 2
Think about how you will develop your business. Make a work plan and set a timeline. You should not do very tough planning, because you are doing a business from scratch and do not know "how it will go". Observe, listen to your intuition. At the same time, keep in mind that now you are your own boss, and no one will control the progress of the work and its implementation for you.
Step 3
Accumulate a "cash cushion". Financial savings should give you psychological support and confidence in the future for the next few months. If there are not very many savings, this will spur you to more active actions.
Step 4
Start doing. Each day is another step that brings you closer to your goal. Monitor the implementation of the plan, adjust it as necessary.
Step 5
Look for like-minded people and partners. It is very important to support each other in a common cause. Wake each other up in the morning, discuss difficult issues, help control the implementation of the work plan. Usually when there is a case, there is a person ready to join. If in a month or two you part with this partner - it doesn't matter, there will be a new one. The main thing is support at the start and until you get used to the idea that you are now making money on your own and by your own business.
Step 6
Look for motivation "to", not "from". Many start doing their own thing in order to get away from a bad boss, from a small salary, from office work. Think positively: you strive for your own schedule, for decent pay, for working for yourself, for a better life.
Step 7
Change your thinking. If you've always worked for someone else, you may have a workhorse mindset. Remember that you are now in control of the process. Do not take all matters upon yourself, delegate. Delegate routine duties to others, outsource parts of the work to other companies.
Step 8
Be prepared that you will have doubts: "Do I need this at all?" It's up to you, of course. But everyone goes through this stage. This is an attempt to escape from a new process, when it is difficult and there are many unknown factors.
Step 9
Grow your customer base, make new connections. Explore areas of expertise that you have not previously encountered as a leader and owner.
Step 10
Remember that you have to go through the start-up period: little money, despair. Getting started is always difficult. If you can gain strength and survive this stage, then it will be easier further.
Step 11
Nobody limits you to one activity. If from childhood you had a dream to do something different, gradually develop the second direction. You can always choose: do both cases or choose one. The business can always be given to partners or sold.
Step 12
Appreciate your deeds. Remember that wrong things are done while standing still.
