Regardless of the level of wealth, place of residence, gender, age and other differences between people, there is one resource, which each person has an equal share. It's about time. The ability to dispose of it competently, while also benefiting from it, is called time management. Everyone should master it and apply its foundations in their own life.

Necessary

  • - work plan
  • - purpose
  • - sorting cases
  • - alternation of work and rest

Instructions

Step 1

If you, like a large number of other people, feel almost constant lack of time to complete everyday tasks, this does not mean that in reality it is. In order to skillfully manage such a valuable resource as time, start by organizing your life. Often, people do not have time to cope with their own affairs because they scatter their strength too much, wasting them not only on really important, but also on secondary and tertiary tasks. So that this does not happen to you, try to determine the main goal of your own life. What exactly would you like to achieve? What are you striving for? Based on what the answers to such questions will be, and build your daily routine.

Step 2

Sort the tasks you face on a daily basis according to their relevance to your main goal. Think about whether the fulfillment of a specific task brings you closer to a dream, or vice versa - it moves you away, simply taking away precious hours from you, which could have been spent much more efficiently. Make a daily plan and a list of tasks that lie ahead. Separate them according to the degree of urgency and importance, borrowing the principle of the Eisenhower matrix. Tackle non-urgent matters first. In general, take on each task well before the deadline indicated for it. This will contribute not only to its timely completion, but also to avoid mistakes in this undertaking (after all, you will have time to double-check everything).

Step 3

Do not spray your own time on insignificant things (which, nevertheless, draw like a swamp). Tasks like these take up a fair share of precious minutes, if not hours. Therefore, if you refuse to fulfill them, you will be surprised at how much time you have freed up. Pay attention first of all to the most important things, and only then, if you have free minutes, to entertainment. However, this statement does not mean that the day should be occupied exclusively with work. The principles of time management presuppose the presence of not only painstaking, hard work, but also good rest in the life of any person. The latter is extremely important for the normal recovery of strength - after all, without this there will not be enough energy for significant, significant achievements.

Step 4

Combine the performance of various tasks (of course, not to the detriment of the quality of any of them). For example, while waiting for some important fax or e-mail at work, get involved in developing a contract and other documentation related to a completely different project. It will be even easier for you to apply this principle in household chores: you can, for example, put food in a multicooker, charge the dishwasher and washing machine, and at this time focus on something else that requires more of your attention than the above tasks.
