Refusal is most often an unpleasant moment in life. Refusal can greatly upset a person, make them give up, become disappointed in themselves. All this is rather difficult to survive, but it is possible. And the sooner you pass this period, the sooner your life will return to normal.

Step 1

Stop blaming yourself and looking for imaginary flaws in yourself. Don't give up. And if suddenly something went wrong the way you wanted, the world will not collapse. If you are refused, for example, in a job, then do not take it personally. There is a specific competition for each job. If you didn't fit this time, is there anything stopping you from becoming a suitable candidate next time? If a person close to you refused, then the search for shortcomings in yourself will not help the cause in any way, but will only aggravate the worries more.

Step 2

Instead of scourging yourself with vain accusations, it is better to ask right away why exactly you were refused. Take all the claims with your head up, think if you agree with them. And try to adjust your behavior based on the explanations you received.

Step 3

When you hear “no,” don't be disappointed in yourself. Think of some good times in your life, something that makes you proud of yourself. Self-confidence is one of the ingredients for success.

Step 4

If you were refused, think about whether you exactly need what you were striving for: is this really the right person, this vacancy is so irreplaceable, whether your idea is needed for this particular company, etc.

Step 5

Either way, treat everything as an invaluable experience. Failure is one of the sources of this experience. Reassure yourself that you don't have to expect failure, don't prepare for the worst, but hope that everything will work out. Treat any outcome as positive. Even if you were refused today, and you realized your mistakes, then tomorrow they will not be able to refuse you.

Try to distract yourself. Take care of yourself: sign up for a gym, do something that you always wanted, but did not work, sign up for a club, spend time with friends and loved ones, start your own business. Sooner or later, you will remember rejection as another stage in life that gave an incentive for further development.
