Communication between people occurs through verbal and non-verbal methods. Often the words of the interlocutor are at odds with the information that the person conveys to us with his gestures. At such moments, not knowing what to believe for sure: words or external signs - we begin to get lost, doubts overwhelm us. The interlocutor conveys the most truthful information with gestures, since it is they that he, often, is unable to control at the time of verbal communication.
Instructions
Step 1
When talking with your interlocutor, you notice that your dialogue has become like a monologue, and you start to doubt if he is listening to you? If the interlocutor has leaned his cheek on his hand, he has an absent gaze, most likely, he has long lost the thread of your story and is thinking about something of his own. Try to ask your interlocutor a question in this state, and he will remain silent or answer something unintelligible.
Step 2
If you notice that the interlocutor leaned his body towards you, then he became interested in the topic of the conversation and tries to catch your every word. In a moment of great surprise, he can even cover his mouth with his hands and open his eyes wide. This gesture is not played, the interlocutor is really surprised by your words.
Step 3
The fact that the interlocutor has doubts about the veracity of your words will be told by a slightly noticeable shrug of the shoulders, as well as a look wandering around the room. If a person unconsciously glances in the direction of the exit, then he is no longer interested in you, and he decided to leave at any convenient opportunity.
Step 4
Did your interlocutor cross his arms over his chest? This is a closed pose that says that the person does not accept your point of view, and you need to either change the subject or provide convincing evidence that you are right. If the interlocutor does not show any special gestures, and the space in front of him is open, then he takes your side and completely trusts you.
