The prism through which a person of an ethical type interprets the world around him, himself, other people, is an attitude. The attitude is personal, subjective, or the attitude is universal, the assessment of certain phenomena accepted in society. For example, “lying for salvation / for good” is more an ethical phenomenon than a logical one.

Ethics is a socially oriented function. You can see the connection of ethics as a socionic function with ethics as a system of norms and rules that determine interaction in society. Practice shows that ethical people feel more confident and freer in ethical and etiquette issues than logicians.

Ethics in the structure of the socionic type is responsible for a person's ability to develop and establish an attitude towards different sides and with different sides of reality. Be it specific people, your own "I" or some events, incidents, objects and objects.

In most cases, the appearance of a person of an ethical type can be recognized by the following features:

  • mobile, rich facial expressions, and sometimes pantomime;
  • the variety of intonations that the ethicist uses in conversation;
  • the use of various intonation-verbal interjections designed to maintain contact during communication ("uh-huh" and "aha").

Ethical people find it easier than logical people to establish contacts and maintain relationships. Informal leaders in a group who contribute to the improvement or deterioration of intragroup relations, as a rule, are ethics.

Ethics in socionics can be introverted (white) and extroverted (black).

Introverted ethics is the ethics of relations between people, the ethics of personal evaluations. White-ethical types in socionics include the following types: Dostoevsky, Dreiser, Napoleon, Huxley.

Extroverted ethics is the ethics of emotions, the ethics of a universal, universal attitude to something and emotional assessments of everything that happens. Black-ethical types in socionics include the following types: Hamlet, Hugo, Yesenin, Dumas.
