It is easy to read by the eyes what a person is thinking, psychologists say. And ordinary people consider this skill to be very important and useful. After all, very often you want to understand what the interlocutor thinks about, what worries him. Therefore, the art of reading by the eyes can and should be honed.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the techniques is eye to eye. Carefully evaluate the other person's reaction to this technique. If he willingly looks straight into your eyes, then he is very interested in communicating with you. But again, this should be in moderation. If your interlocutor looks into your eyes for too long, this should tell you that he is either frightened by the conversation with you, or simply does not trust you. An interaction that is too short indicates that the person is worried next to you. And, finally, if he does not look at you at all, then he is absolutely indifferent to your whole conversation and you as an interlocutor.
Step 2
If in a conversation a person looks up, do not try to understand what he is looking at there. Psychologists assure that such a look is a sign of contempt, sarcasm or irritation towards you, i.e. you are extremely unpleasant to your interlocutor.
Step 3
If you want to check if a person is telling you the truth about a past event, ask them to tell you about it. If he looks in the upper right corner, then he is not deceiving, because this is how people behave when they keep in their memory some picture from the past and try to remember it. And the interlocutor deceives you if his eyes are turned to the upper left corner. This is usually a sign that a person is trying to fantasize something, conjecture, add some events in his imagination.
Step 4
If you want your interlocutor to remember something, ask him about it. You will understand that he is fulfilling your request if his gaze is thrown to the right. When a person looks to the left, it means that he imagines some kind of melody or comes up with new sounds. If your interlocutor lowers his eyes, but at the same time looks to the right, then you can understand from this look that he is conducting an internal dialogue with him. This usually happens when he is thinking about something or deciding what to talk to you about next.
Step 5
If the person looks down and to the left, then you can guess from this look that he is thinking about his impressions of the conversation with you, from the general situation of the place where you are. Ask him how he finds this cafe, where you are now sitting with him, and you will see that he looks down to the left. If the eyes are simply down, this means that your interlocutor is embarrassed or very uncomfortable at the moment. Also, lowered eyes can be regarded as unwillingness to communicate.
