Perhaps the most difficult task in personal self-improvement is getting rid of laziness correctly. Such a bad character trait as laziness can cause a lot of trouble, the main one being the loss of a job or a lack of desire to acquire it. People often postpone something for tomorrow, for a week. Maybe they are not able to fulfill their needs in this period, but this often happens due to laziness. It is subdivided into several types: active, professional and absolute.

Step 1

Active laziness.

Let's say you need to write a term paper, and instead go to the store or chat with a friend on the phone for hours. Ultimately, the work is done in the very last moments, when time is running out, which increases the likelihood of errors. Most likely, you are not interested in the work that needs to be done, or you are frightened by the amount of work to be done. Such laziness may hide self-doubt and fear that you will not be able to cope with the intended work, and as a result, a protective mechanism is activated.

Step 2

How to overcome active laziness? First of all, you need to ask yourself if you want to do this job? If it is related to lessons or documents, then you need it to get a good grade. Next, it is worth determining for yourself at what time you want to start performing this work, and develop a plan for further action. You must clearly understand where to start and what needs to be done.

Step 3

To overcome active laziness, you can meditate. To do this, you need to sit comfortably and imagine that you are performing the required action, and what result you will get. Imagine what you can buy with a scholarship. The better you imagine it, the faster you get to work.

Step 4

Professional laziness.

Basically, such laziness occurs in people who spend their time at work every day. This laziness is unmistakably determined: on the eve of the working day, you get dizzy, at the very thought that tomorrow you go to work, your stomach gets upset, and you start thinking about going to the doctor in order to go on sick leave. However, in the morning you convince yourself that everything is fine and go to work. You perform your official duties automatically, and you yourself think about ending the day as soon as possible. If you have not encountered this before, then the reason may simply be fatigue, especially if you work seven days a week, or have not been on vacation for a long time.

Step 5

If you can't get a good break from work, then you need to try to reconsider your attitude to your vacation. Be sure to think about the fact that when you achieve professional success, you will receive recognition from your superiors and, as a result, an increase in wages. Secretly, you can arrange a competition with your colleagues.

Step 6

Absolute laziness - if the meaning of life is completely lost and you do not want to do anything: neither work, nor have fun, nor do household chores, you do something under the pressure of loved ones. Everything seems completely meaningless and unnecessary.

Step 7

If this is just laziness, then you can overcome it like this: you need to take a sheet and write at the top "my goals in life." Then you need to list all the goals at a fast pace, without hesitation. Then take another sheet. Write the question on it: "How do I want to spend the next few years?" and think about a question with answers in writing for no more than five minutes. And on the third sheet of paper, you need to answer a very difficult question: "If I knew that I would die in six months, how would I spend the rest of my time?" When you answer this question, you will understand exactly what you need.

Step 8

It is possible to cope with laziness, but it is worse if mental trauma is hidden under the mask of laziness, in which case it is necessary to consult a specialist.
