The world is accustomed to living at high speeds: ever faster modes of transport are being built, fast communication is being carried out, human activity is also accelerating. As if there are already few hours in the day, as if there is no time to just stop and enjoy life. Slow people are contemptuously reproached, urged on, taught from childhood to this race.

Technological progress, which began in the 19th and 20th centuries, has now led to the fact that everything around is renewed too quickly. Newly released gadgets are literally becoming obsolete before our eyes, more and more modern and faster computers, cars, and devices appear. The consumer society and technological progress make people get involved in this race, now a person's self-esteem often depends on a more modern gadget in his pocket. Provoking constant purchases and replacing the old with a new one makes companies update their assortment at a rapid pace, and people rush to earn as much money as possible for the next purchase.

The work of companies

Hence the second reason for the rush in life: in the pursuit of quick profits, companies encourage the work of lively businessmen who quickly get along with business, make deals, speak and think quickly. They are smiling, adventurous, active and very quick. This behavior model becomes exemplary for all other employees, such people are quickly promoted and encouraged. Naturally, this is the pattern of behavior that employers and subordinates want to follow. Who likes to keep a taciturn quiet person at work who takes a long time to deal with documents and works slowly? In the vast majority of modern companies, this behavior is unacceptable.

The vicious circle of haste

The modern man spends a lot of time at his work, and the possibilities of the big city provide him with many temptations. Such a person wants not only to work the whole day, but to have time and have fun in the evening. From here, too, the habit of rushing is taken: to go faster from work through the whole city, quickly find entertainment or redo things at home, eat a quick meal, and in the morning, not having time after night gatherings, quickly fly to the office. It is almost impossible to break out of such a circle, especially if this way of life has already become habitual. It involves not only the size of modern cities, in which a huge amount of time is spent commuting home from work, but also the problem of poor distribution of time by the majority of the population.

A similar situation is also encouraged by mass hysteria in the style of "life is short, hurry to live!" But in fact, it is impossible to live in a constant rush, this is an unnatural state for nature and man. Therefore, real awareness of every moment of life will come not in thoughts of how to have time to do everything, but in peace and quiet, alone with oneself or with loved ones.
