Scientists around the world have long been preoccupied with finding drugs that can help our brains improve memory. Forgetfulness is inherent in humans, and does not mean at all that this is the path to Alzheimer's disease or senile dementia. But taking care of your memory and improving it is still worth it.
You need to turn to specialists for help only if you suddenly find that you do not remember what date or year it is, morning or evening, you cannot name a loved one, or your forgetfulness affects work and the performance of important matters. Improving memory can be done at any age, but it is better not to postpone it until later. After all, when the first signs of forgetfulness are found, it will be much more difficult to restore brain activity.
So that your memory does not let you down, make it a habit to do daily exercises for the brain, which do not take much time, but you will soon feel the result of such "fitness" yourself.
Brain training to improve memory
Play the Total Recall game with yourself. Imagine that you are going on a trip, but for this you need to remember the names of cities or significant events of the area where you are going. Relax and try to recall everything you know about the place of travel. Build associative connections in your head that will ultimately lead to the desired result. Come up with a variety of questions that you can ask yourself to restore your memory and remember everything you once knew from school, read in books, or watched in films and on television.
Start talking to yourself. There is nothing strange about this. This method will help you better remember what is needed. For example, if you leave your car in the parking lot near the sign, then say out loud: "I leave the car in the parking lot near the sign." This is a pretty effective way to strengthen memory.
If you are afraid of forgetting something, write the lists on a piece of paper. This will help free up memory for the things that matter most.
To memorize names, it is enough to think and imagine people's faces. Combine the person's appearance and his name in your head and find some feature that is peculiar to him, for example, a long nose, a mole on his cheek, plump lips, narrow eyes. Visual memory will help you remember the name.
Read as much as possible, especially fiction. If you rarely use certain words, then gradually they begin to fall out of memory. Literature will help you keep a large vocabulary in your head, which means your memory will become much better.
Learn poetry at any age, any time. Carry small collections of poems by classics or favorite poets with you, and memorize at least a few lines from time to time. Gradually, you yourself will be surprised how easy it will be for you to remember not only verse lines, but also everything that you need for work or any business.
Take a few minutes for yourself, take some paper and two pens. Write words or sentences with your right and left hand. This can be done simultaneously or alternately, from left to right or vice versa. You can only train your left arm if you are right handed, or your right arm if you are left handed. This will enable both hemispheres of the brain to be involved in the work, which means your memory and brain activity will improve every day.
