Making the decision to change is not easy, but even then the difficulties are just beginning. How to force yourself to change? Our whole being sometimes protests against changes, no matter how good they are. Having decided to run in the morning, you feel how difficult it has become to get up for this, learning English is a great idea, but for some reason it can be so lazy to take up a textbook. Many wonderful deeds and tasks are postponed and never realized, because people could not bring themselves to change.
Instructions
Step 1
Everyone would like to be healthy, look great, have a decent education and job, great friends and family. To achieve some of the points on this list, you need to force yourself to go forward - to change and develop. Sometimes a person makes a decision, but after doing a new business for several days, he loses interest in him. And this behavior is the most natural! People are designed in such a way that they do not want to change on a subconscious level. If all is well now, then why go forward? No wonder they say that the best is the enemy of the good.
Step 2
To begin to change, you must first of all be ready to resist that part of you, which is afraid of losing a warm familiar place and heading towards the unknown. Even if the change is only for the better, habit and attachment to the old way of life slows down their onset. Uncertainty is a terrible word. It's unclear whether it is worth spending a few hours a week and ditching sweets or fries and mayonnaise for a slender figure. Sign up for refresher courses - will it be possible to remain yourself in this case? How much can change actually change a person? People themselves do not ask these questions, but the subconscious asks them. And very often it doubts, and if laziness joins this, then the battle can be considered lost - this is how people abandon new beginnings.
Step 3
To deal with our subconscious fear of the unknown, be prepared to ask yourself these questions directly. Should you change? Describe all the benefits of the planned change. Better on a piece of paper or in a file on your computer so that you can always look there in the future. Be honest - also describe the cons that bring change. Giving up sweets for the sake of the figure, from the extra 30 minutes of sleep for the morning jogging - all this should be written down. Look at the matter from the perspective of an outside observer, fix all the pros and cons that bring about changes honestly and impartially.
Step 4
Now it's time to leave the outsider position and look at things from the perspective of your personality again. Analyze each minus and think about how you can compensate for it. Refusal from sweets does not mean refusal of all goodies: fruits and vegetables, natural juices - this is an excellent delicacy! Go to bed 30 minutes earlier in the evening so you don't have to sleep on your runs. Think about the changes in your life so that they do not disrupt its natural course and do not cause you great inconvenience. Few people can drastically change their lives, but everyone can do it smoothly.
Step 5
Do not be lazy to implement your plans. If you feel that it is laziness that is holding you back, consciously overcome it. Ask yourself, "Is it because of laziness that I miss a run?" And if so, then be stronger than laziness.
