Wendy's Syndrome is not a diagnosis and must be understood. This is not a mental disorder that progresses and leads to a complete breakdown of the personality or to dementia and total disability. Wendy's syndrome is a special condition that is expressed in distorted personality traits. Very often it is considered in conjunction with the Peter Pan syndrome, which is most characteristic of young people, men.

Signs and manifestations of Wendy syndrome

Wendy's syndrome is usually classified as a social disorder. This condition manifests itself through certain personality traits and character traits. Moreover, in girls and women with this syndrome, they - features with features - are usually very pointed, they cannot be overlooked. As a rule, it is not possible to control the manifestations of a woman / girl on her own.

Key features of Wendy's syndrome include:

  • pathological sacrifice; the so-called victim complex almost always accompanies this state;
  • painful perfectionism, maximalism;
  • inadequate altruism, a desire to do well for everyone; these traits are accompanied by a negative connotation: a woman with Wendy's syndrome is sure that she does everything for everyone, but no one needs it and no one is grateful to her;
  • excessive obsession, the desire to constantly control a loved one or your children, regular violation of personal space, overprotection;
  • a sign of Wendy's syndrome is the tendency to constantly feel guilty, to apologize for everything (and for everyone) even when it is simply inappropriate;
  • diligent avoidance of any problem situations, conflicts, disputes and quarrels; It is easier for such a woman to agree with everything and be ready for everything, rather than defend her point of view and create the most comfortable living conditions for herself;
  • constant internal tension, increased anxiety and anxiety, neurotic behavior, suspicion, an abundance of fears and experiences - all this is typical for a girl with Wendy's syndrome;
  • symptoms of Wendy's syndrome: inadequately low self-esteem, lack of self-respect, low self-worth.

Relationship with a woman with Wendy syndrome

It is extremely difficult to build an adequate relationship with a woman with such pointed personality traits. This can be especially difficult for men who have a very strong character, who are used to independence. It will not be easy for them to endure constant care, increased guardianship and the desire to constantly control everything from their chosen one.

Women with Wendy syndrome can be very jealous. Jealousy in this case is based on an inner fear of losing a loved one. At the same time, such girls do not always show their true feelings. They can hide jealousy and feelings, not wanting to spoil the relationship with their man. As a result, this can result in a nervous breakdown or sluggish / background depression.

It is extremely important for a Wendy woman to do everything on her own. Such individuals are unlikely to ask for help from their man, even in doing some kind of male household work. At the same time, a man may eventually face constant reproaches and constant discontent. However, at the slightest hint of a showdown, a woman with Wendy syndrome will try to change the subject, get away from the conversation, and so on.

Even at the very beginning of a relationship, such women try to get to know their partner as much as possible, to find out from a man the characteristics of his ideal. And then try to become that ideal, even if it runs counter to some internal attitudes. Here again, pathological sacrifice comes to the fore: "I do everything for you, I am ready to become the best and ideal for you, even if I have to break myself for this."

A man who decides to start a family with such a woman should be prepared that she will always perceive him only as a big child. Toxic caring, overcontrol, excessive manifestations of feelings, the desire to constantly be around, not giving a break from her company - all this is typical for a Wendy girl. At the same time, attempts to reproach or repulse can lead to tears, very strong feelings, but in no way to changes in the behavior and character of a woman.
