Life success is hard to imagine without achieving goals. Correct setting is half the solution. And if you follow some principles, then getting the result will be much easier.
The ideal model for setting a goal is SMART. It is an abbreviation of the English words Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timed. They mean that our goal should be:
• Specific. It is clearly indicated what result needs to be achieved;
• Measurable. There are criteria showing the completeness of the goal;
• Achievable. With a real assessment of your capabilities, you conclude that you can achieve it;
• Realistic. It can be achieved by someone else besides you;
• Defined by time. There should be time limits for achieving the goal;
To achieve the goal, it is necessary, first of all, to perform decomposition, that is, the division into smaller subgoals. Even if your task is not too big, it can still be broken down into smaller pieces that will make it easier to get the result.
Further, each new small goal must be described according to SMART for complete control over the situation. It is imperative to set a timeline, as this will allow you to thoroughly control the achievement process.
It is necessary to consider which of the small goals can be delegated and written by a number of people who will be responsible for this task.
Sort tasks by priority. Try to start fulfilling the most important goals, and then move on to more insignificant ones, this will allow you not to miss the main thing.
Constantly monitor the process, keep records and measure the effectiveness, then the result will not be long in coming.
