Sincerity is highly valued in society. Not everyone can remain honest with themselves and others. This is especially true of such situations, the outcome of which depends on whether you tell the truth or lie.

Instructions

Step 1

Speak in the first person more often when talking to people. So you not only declare your position, but you can also more clearly convey to the interlocutor what exactly excites you. If you are having a not very pleasant conversation, do not shift the blame onto other people, use the pronoun "I" more often.

Step 2

Move towards your goal in small steps. It is impossible to become sincere overnight, especially if you are used to embellishing reality, keeping everything to yourself and not sharing your true opinion with others. Start telling people what you think gradually. For example, set a goal for yourself: to say something every day that excites you, but you hid it before. So, step by step, you can start sharing more serious experiences with people with less difficulty.

Step 3

If you are afraid of offending a person with your own words, precede them with the phrase: "Perhaps you are right" or "I understand your point of view." Such a demonstration of respect for the interlocutor will allow you to honestly express all your comments, and not be cunning and agree with things that are unacceptable to you.

Step 4

To become sincere, it is not enough just to stop lying; you need to get rid of past lies as well. Talk to people you know who have been misled by you and admit to them that you were not honest in the previous conversation. Try to be clear, then the old lie will not create a new one.

Step 5

Sincerity does not involve expressing exclusively negative emotions. Tell people what you like about them, how you feel about them, share your ideas and impressions. Do not be afraid to sound stupid or say something inappropriate: everything said from a pure heart will be taken in due course.

Step 6

Try to express your emotions on one occasion or another every time. Do not try to please others with your words or actions. When asked, you are expected to have your own opinion, not an answer that would please your interlocutor. Of course, sometimes these answers will be the same, but when they don't, try to be honest and not be afraid to say what you really think and feel.
