Men with a neurotic character are emotionally unstable. A neurotic very quickly enters a negative state, while in a positive one, on the contrary, is extremely rare. It is typical for neurotics to see themselves and the whole world in a distorted way. When communicating with a neurotic, it may seem that he is behaving strangely, and sometimes just frightening.
The neurotic man loves exaggeration and bragging. It doesn't matter how old he is and what he does. Such a man will talk every time about his successes, about victories, about relationships with girls, about how much he is loved and appreciated at work, that without him it is impossible to solve a single problem. You will constantly hear about his achievements, memorable trips abroad with a lot of amazing adventures and events, about a huge amount of money and success in everything. It is important for him that you believe him and start to admire him, because everything he talks about, in essence, is his main problem.
In fact, a man with dominant neurotic personality traits can work where he is not noticed at all, earn pennies and absolutely not know how to live on. However, he needs to create the feeling that he is significant, and the main thing is that you sincerely believe in it. Only in such a case does he feel alive, and his self-esteem rises to heaven, which, of course, has an extremely positive effect on the emotional background.
According to the neurotic man, it is you who should follow him, seek him, please him and think only of him, indulging all his whims and desires. And he is so busy that he is running out of time, and if he devotes it to you, then you simply have to appreciate it, put him on a pedestal.
Such men are greedy. They can save on everything, especially when you meet in a movie, cafe or restaurant. He will try by all means to refuse to pay for you, offer to pay next time, or at least split the costs equally.
Such a person will constantly remind you of the difficulties of life, high prices, huge expenses and the injustice of this mortal world. If you are married to a neurotic, then very soon you will make sure that he will not let you spend an extra penny and will jealously control all expenses, constantly reproaching you for waste. In addition, neurotics are very suspicious and try not to believe anyone. Therefore, do not be surprised if at some point you discover hidden income, nest egg, an additional bank account or another apartment that you did not even know you had.
The neurotic man is characterized by constant whining and discontent. Everything is literally bad with him: the weather, work, bosses, friends, food and the whole world. Do not try to argue, argue that this is not so, offer help or feel sorry for such a man. Even if he agrees with you on something, he will immediately find something else, where it cannot be worse.
The narcissistic view of life cannot be remade with persuasion, facts, and argument. Such men do not notice the good, all their attention should be paid only to him and his "imperfection". But if you suddenly notice this and stop wasting your energy on him, he will immediately break off all relations with you.
Neurotics blame others for all their misfortunes. They don't even want to hear about responsibility for their lives, because he will always be to blame: parents, friends, colleagues, country, world and the whole planet Earth.
Sometimes neuroticism turns into an aggressive form of behavior. If you meet a man who clings to everyone in the store, in transport, on the street, trying to get nasty, write a complaint, offend, swear at someone, attack at least verbally, you know that you are neurotic and it is better to bypass him.
