Anyone who wants to improve their well-being strives for success. But how to determine if you are successful in a certain area or not? Obviously, any enterprise that has a specific goal is recognized as successful. This means that correct goal-setting is the basis of any victory.

How to define a goal
How to define a goal

Have you ever played blind man's buff? When you are blindfolded, you have two options for action: walk aimlessly or, pursuing a specific desire, catch someone. Senseless movement in the dark, firstly, takes up time, secondly, it can cause injuries, and thirdly, it does not bring any satisfaction.

When you move according to a certain algorithm, you also get bumps, but the result is completely different. After all, in the end, you fulfill your mission, take off your blindfold and watch with great pleasure how someone else blindly searches for other players. So, having a goal, you achieve success, albeit with great difficulty, but also with great pleasure.

How success is measured

Perhaps this question is the main difference between a goal and a dream. When setting a goal, qualitative and quantitative indicators should be identified that will tell you if you are on the right track. For example, your dream is: "I want to be happy." It's a good dream, but how will your happiness be measured? In a certain number of children, a two-story house, a husband who takes care of your feelings, helps with the children? Or maybe you want to sing for complete happiness? Then you should know in what range, what pitch the voice will be, who will be your listeners, what kind of reaction you want to see in them.

Success model

Determine what you want to achieve.

Go to your goal, and do not stand still. Each step is an intermediate goal.

Mark along the way what you have done and what you have failed.

Analyze your successes and failures, try to understand what you can change and what you need to adapt to.

Emotional perception of purpose

As you formulate your goal, think about how strongly it evokes positive feelings in you? Is there a surge of energy and strength? When formulating a goal, you do not have to motivate yourself further. This will come in handy on the way to achieving it. Motivation should be built from the beginning. If there is no desire, set another goal or reformulate it.

So, you should not go to college if you do not want to get a higher education, you do not need to replace your goals with others and strive for something that you absolutely do not need. Then the chances of becoming successful will grow many times over.
