Pay attention to your lifestyle. Habits, social circle, behavior can provoke the possibility of getting into unpleasant situations. In other words, if you have decent acquaintances and friends, live in a favorable area, then the chance of getting stabbed in the company of drunk "friends", being attacked on the staircase or in the yard of your own house will be minimized.
Step 2
Avoid dangerous situations and locations. The conversation is about the ability to foresee possible conflicts, because each of us has to communicate in public places. Be especially careful when traveling alone in deserted areas. The attackers love uncrowded places and the absence of witnesses.
If you are walking in a deserted place alone, then hold in your hands the phone with the dialed number of the police or your acquaintances who live nearby. Potential attackers do not need extra trouble.
Advice not to enter the staircase, the elevator with strangers, not to take fellow travelers and not to get into someone else's car, not to lead an uninvited gentleman to your door are not just empty words.
Avoid crowded places that are also dangerous.
Get yourself some kind of self-defense, at least a gas canister.
In order to avoid evening adventures on the street, wear comfortable shoes for movement, take off provocative clothes, valuables.

Be attentive and vigilant. It will not be superfluous to learn how to quickly track and avoid potential threats. This allows you to react in time to a dangerous factor: turn to another street or alley.

Try to resolve dangerous situations peacefully. If the attacker did not immediately proceed to physical actions, then there is an opportunity to understand it verbally. It is important to correctly assess the balance of power, the state of the aggressor, and his intentions.
Don't show your fear. An attack cannot be avoided if the enemy sees a victim in you. There should be no signs of "victim" in your behavior: fussy movements or tightness, trembling voice. Do not lower your eyes - this will serve as a pretext for an attack. The look should be, as it were, through the attacker. If it is directed directly into the eyes, then it will also be perceived as a challenge.
Don't take what they tell you seriously or take insults to heart. Emotions will make you worry and distract you from the situation.
Try not to back away, by this you subconsciously recognize the strength of the aggressor, who is trying to take not only a comfortable position, but also psychologically put pressure on you. In response to his approach, move to the side, go to his rear, as it were.
