Of course, such situations also happen, in depressed patients the sensitivity is really increased, while the mood and physical activity are lowered. However, not in every case, depression is equal to tears.

There are many forms of depression. For example, there is the so-called "dry" depression, when a person, experiencing very heavy feelings and feeling close to tears, cannot cry in any way. This worsens the general condition. However, a person suffering from depression for some time is often afraid to show their true feelings, emotions, and their state of mind. This fear can be caused by thoughts and beliefs, the way the world around us perceives this mental illness, and many other factors. In the vast majority of cases, depressive disorder hides behind a mask of indifference or even behind a smile. Often, even the closest circle of a sick person simply does not know that he needs help.

They say depression always leads to suicide

During the outbreak of a depressive episode, the patient's head is overcome by the darkest, most difficult thoughts. They become obsessive, even haunt with images in a dream. A person cannot dismiss them, and if it does, then thoughts find a way out through sensations. They can manifest themselves not only on the emotional plane, but also on the physical. This is one of the reasons why the physical state of health suffers so often with depression, and there are any organic disorders in the body. However, depressive thoughts about committing suicide are characteristic of a very small number of patients.

According to statistics, only a small percentage of people with depression have ever tried to do something about themselves. Moreover, in the overwhelming majority of these attempts were frivolous, they are equated with parasuicide (demonstrativeness). Usually, attempts to commit suicide are made by people experiencing a very severe depressive period and starting a course of treatment. In the modern world, there is an idea that people who have a lot of free time are sick with depression. "It's all out of boredom." And this is again a delusion. A huge number of people with such a diagnosis, before they are covered by a negative state, lead an active lifestyle, have a prestigious job, their time is literally scheduled by the minute. To advise a person with depression to do work is to cause a person to have even more negative feelings and thoughts, provoke a feeling of shame, and form a feeling of inferiority. Depression is a nonsense invented by modern doctors

Around depression, there are a lot of wrong, distorted ideas about what kind of condition it is. Many people, not understanding the complexity of the situation, are really convinced that depression is some kind of newfangled disease, which, in fact, does not exist. As if this diagnosis is made by doctors in order to make money, to ruin a person, forcing him to buy expensive antidepressants and other powerful drugs. Because of this wrong belief, a considerable number of people who really suffer from a depressive state refuse help on their own and try to cope with an allegedly fictitious illness on their own. Often, self-medication does not bring results or even aggravate the condition.

Depression is not just mental disorders, a distorted perception of the world, events, and oneself. With depression, there are certain malfunctions in the work of the brain, nervous system, hormonal levels change. Somatic and mental, intertwining together, provoke the development of depressive disorder. We must not forget that there is masked depression, when the symptoms of the disease are manifested exclusively at the bodily level, or somatic depression, which can be caused by certain drugs.
