It happens that an uncomfortable feeling of excitement wreaks havoc in your life and disorganizes your work. It does not help solve problems, but only puts you in an emotional state in which productive work on solving the problem is impossible. How to calm anxiety?
Instructions
Step 1
Identify major and minor goals in a situation that worries you. Very often people see several problems in one and try to solve all the problems at once. From the outside, it looks chaotic, a person takes one thing or another, but as a result, nothing is finished to the end. Therefore, make it a rule for yourself - if something really worries you, solve one problem at a time. Otherwise, you will get confused and not really do anything, exacerbating the excitement.
Step 2
If the situation does not require a quick and prompt response, unless it is resuscitation, leave time for rest every 25 minutes. Try to move actively for at least 3 minutes during such breaks - dancing, hitting pillows, walking around the room. The rhythm of such breaks, their regularity is extremely important. It is in an extreme situation that the body needs rest and moderate activity. This habit of rest is good to keep in the future, when you feel normal.
Step 3
Allow yourself to be wrong sometimes. Therefore, you should not panic over insignificant details if you are not working as a dispatcher at an airfield. As soon as you give yourself the right to make mistakes, you will immediately feel that it has become easier. Of course, it seems that in a world of fierce competition, you cannot forgive yourself for mistakes, but as a result, calmer people bypass nervous perfectionists at the expense of better concentration. So an even mood is more beneficial.
Step 4
Forgive the world for its imperfections. The world does not have to meet your requirements, but you can always play it safe. The trolleybus driver may have technical problems, the train may be delayed in the metro, and it is sometimes common for employees to submit reports later. Forgive the world for this and always create an airbag for yourself in advance - leave the house ten minutes early, set deadlines a couple of days earlier. And in order not to waste time on excitement, take self-study books of a foreign language with you on the road or useful books that you have no time to read at home.
