Types of temperament

Choleric

Such a person is distinguished by increased activity. Excessive irascibility is characteristic of him, which can easily develop into aggression. A certain imbalance in the nervous system manifests itself in cycles of activity and apathy. The choleric will take up the business of interest to him with full dedication, but after a while he will get bored with it. Apathy sets in, which is accompanied by depression. This condition can occur quite often, since the choleric person (due to his irascibility) is able to easily enter into conflict situations.

Phlegmatic person

This is the opposite of a choleric person. The nervous system of the phlegmatic is inert, it is very difficult to make him angry or laugh. The main advantage of people with this type of temperament can be considered the fact that even in difficult life situations they remain calm and equanimous, which makes it easier to solve the problems that have arisen.

A phlegmatic person has difficulty adapting to everything new due to the inertia of his nature. It is difficult for him to converge with new people, it is difficult for him to get a new business. Habits acquired from childhood, as a rule, remain with him forever. Along with this, he has a very high capacity for work, which often helps him out.

Melancholic

Such a person is subject to frequent mood swings. He is very sensitive even to weak stimuli, and a stressful situation can even cause stupor or even a nervous breakdown. Due to increased sensitivity to external factors, there is a low efficiency and fatigue. The melancholic is timid and unsure of himself, his voice is quiet, and his facial expressions and movements are poor.

All the disadvantages of this temperament are manifested only in stressful situations. In a calm atmosphere, he is able to cope with the task no worse than others. Such people often have outstanding intellectual and creative abilities.

Sanguine

Sanguine combines increased reactivity and balance. He happily takes on a new business and can work for a long time without getting tired. He is sociable and makes new acquaintances easily.

A sanguine person is disciplined and able to restrain negative emotions that arise in a stressful situation. He thinks and speaks very quickly. His habits and aspirations change with the same speed. High efficiency allows him to achieve success in almost any field. Such mobility of the mind explains some of the instability of the sanguine person.
