Finding the causes of bad mood

When a problem gnaws at a person, it is difficult to maintain a positive attitude. To maintain harmony in the soul and change the mood, it is important to find the true cause of the feelings and try to eliminate it. If the mood has worsened due to disagreements with a loved one, you need to discuss the current situation and make peace, despite different views on life, or break up if communication is meaningless because of these disagreements. If the bosses pronounced a reprimand, it is necessary to eliminate the shortcomings or quit the job, if it brings only negative emotions, etc.

If you leave the problem unresolved, carry a feeling of guilt, resentment or other destructive feelings for a very long time, it is quite possible to face psychosomatic illnesses. It has long been proven that some diseases (for example, cancer or stomach ulcers) are formed precisely under the influence of a negative state of mind.

External assistants

It is known that in the human body there are specific "hormones of happiness", which are produced under certain conditions and cause positive emotions. In general, they should be produced naturally in the body, but you can speed up this process or enhance the effect.

Endorphins (those same hormones) are usually produced along with adrenaline, which, in turn, appears after physical exertion. Accordingly, any sports, jogging, roller-skating or cycling will improve the mood. To recharge in the morning with positive and vigor, it is advisable to do exercises at the beginning of each day.

Special food also influences the development of "inner happiness", but you should not lean on it. Otherwise, extra pounds can deliver a few unpleasant minutes, days or even months. But sometimes it is very useful to improve your mood by eating a banana pie or chocolate bar. Oranges, carrots, cheese, seafood, eggs and vegetables rich in selenium (spinach, asparagus) are also useful for raising spirits.

Each person has their own ways to improve their mental mood, albeit temporarily: for some it is watching a favorite movie, for another - reading a book or writing poetry, some like to walk in the park in moments of sadness, others - to go to a party with friends.

Internal work

The most effective methods are those that involve internal changes. Working on oneself determines a long-term result, and not an instant receipt of joy, although this is sometimes just as important.

It's important to start every morning with positive affirmations. Programming yourself to be positive helps you to really notice something good in each new day. These affirmations or statements can be very different: “I'm fine,” “Today is a beautiful day,” “I am the most charming and attractive,” “Today I will see a miracle,” etc.

In moments of mental decline, you can recall the bright moments of life, real funny episodes or scenes from films. It is important not to cultivate depressive thoughts in yourself, but to try to get rid of them.

Sometimes a smile is enough to lift your spirits. There is an original theory of emotions, according to which people do not smile because they find it funny, but they find it funny because they smile. Whether this is true or not, you can find out from your own experience.

To overcome all destructive feelings, it is important to learn to accept and let go of a situation or a particular person. Someone once hurt - you have to let go. Someone has left your life - you have to accept. For the hundredth time, thinking that you could have acted differently, coming up with a likely course of events, trying to change the past without a time machine is an irrational waste of time. If you can fix something, you should try. When nothing can be fixed, worrying is already pointless. Life is actually quite simple and you need to relate to it easier.

A sense of humor is one of the most important personal qualities for an adequate perception of reality. It is always useful to be able to laugh at yourself, to joke for relaxation, to do something extraordinary when no one expects it.
