Many of us experience the effects of motivational downturns from time to time. It takes a lot of effort to get out of this trap and return to the postponed case. Sometimes it looks like a continuous cycle, at the beginning of which we are inspired and full of desire to move mountains, then there is a period of decline and then a recovery period, when we try to return to the first sensation.
To ensure that motivation does not leave you at the most inopportune moment, adhere to the following 7 rules:
1. Maintain a positive attitude: There is nothing more powerful for self-motivation than the right attitude. You cannot choose or influence some circumstances, but it is you who choose your attitude towards them.
2. Keep good company. Have regular meetings with positively motivated people, chat with like-minded people, or chat with a friend who is willing to share ideas and listen to yours.
3. Keep learning. Read on and learn everything you can. The more you learn, the more confident you will be able to handle everything in life.
4. Learn to see good in bad. Get in the habit of seeing an obstacle as a problem that needs a solution. Everything will work out (see point 3).
5. Stop thinking. Just do it. If you still lack motivation to complete a specific task, take a break and do something else. It can be completely mundane, such as taking out the trash, dusting it, going to the grocery store, but it can also serve as an incentive for you to continue postponing.
6. Track your progress. Leave notes at every stage of a long project. When you have in front of your eyes the scheme according to which your desire is realized, you will not want to back down.
7. Help others. Share your ideas and practice self-motivation with your friends. Seeing how others are doing well will motivate you to do the same. Write, tell us about your success and get feedback from like-minded people.
By following these simple rules, you will gradually develop the necessary motivational habits in yourself. However, while motivating yourself for long and hard work, do not forget about rest. After all, no one wants to work all the time!
