It has long been proven that any addiction is a disease. It doesn't matter what this addiction is for - alcohol, drugs, computer games. No one manages to forever overcome the craving for the object of addiction and completely control himself, and no one manages to "play rarely" or "drink a little". But this does not mean at all that since you cannot free yourself from addiction, you will have to suffer from it all your life. The addiction can be stopped and then the addicted person can be sober for the rest of his life or not play cards.
Instructions
Step 1
Anyone who is determined to get rid of addiction begins to be tormented by fears. The body is already accustomed to artificial stimulation, so a person is lost and afraid of how he can fill the vacant void. Formulate your goal for yourself in a different way - not "to get rid of …", but "to get free for …", psychologically this is perceived in a completely different way by the subconscious.
Step 2
Be prepared not only to declare your readiness for release in words, but also to the fact that it will need to be backed up by active actions. It will be very difficult to do it on your own, for this you need a really "iron" will.
Step 3
Seek help from specialists and accept it, do not be fooled every time with the words: "This time I made a firm decision, I will definitely cope, I have enough willpower." This confidence is wrong. The point here is not a lack of willpower, but that the disease has set many traps inside you, only specialists can recognize them and help avoid them. Even if you already begin to notice and avoid them on your own, you will begin to defeat the cravings in yourself, this does not mean that the battle is won.
Step 4
You must immediately fill the place freed from addiction with those pleasures and benefits that a sober life brings with it. Find yourself a new, interesting business or occupation in which you will go headlong, and from which you will get real drive. Believe me, while you were drinking or sitting at the computer, life concealed from you a lot of unknown, your task is to learn it and become happy again.
