They say that until we start to love ourselves, then no one will love us. It is difficult to say whether this is true or not, but self-esteem simply needs to be kept at the proper level - at least to avoid depression.
Instructions
Step 1
Always write "I" in capital letters. This is a small psychological trick to start with for every person seeking to raise self-esteem. It seems that there is nothing difficult in this, but even with personal correspondence with someone very close, you are unlikely to be able to start writing without warning: "Yes, today I was satisfied with myself." By the way, according to the rules of English grammar, "I" is always written in capital letter.
Step 2
Rate your merits or ask your closest friends to do it for you. In no case try to look for flaws, but make a list of the positive qualities of your character. Surely the number of points will surprise and cheer you up: even if you are too prone to self-criticism, your friends will gladly add a dozen of your "pluses" to the list.
Step 3
Ask your loved one for help. If you tell your soul mate about your problem, then she will certainly make every possible effort to help you solve it: there are much more passive ways to increase a person's self-esteem than active ones. And it is better for you, at the same time, not to look for specific methods so that they work - otherwise, you can begin to perceive each compliment as a lie, which will only aggravate the situation.
Step 4
Realize yourself. The most common cause of dissatisfaction and self-esteem problems is that a person does not enjoy what they do. Try changing jobs, getting creative, and finding something that you are good at and enjoy.
Step 5
Go in for sports. Another common reason for self-loathing is a weak and effeminate disposition. If this is the case, then you will have to temper it, albeit without getting much pleasure from the process. Sports will help you with this. Not necessarily professional, but necessary so that you can observe your own progress and improvement in results. As soon as you see personal development, progress - this will push you to new achievements, victories and add persistence in achieving the goal.
