Rate your merits or ask your closest friends to do it for you. In no case try to look for flaws, but make a list of the positive qualities of your character. Surely the number of points will surprise and cheer you up: even if you are too prone to self-criticism, your friends will gladly add a dozen of your "pluses" to the list.
