It is believed that there are no "owls" and "larks". And the timing of your awakening is just a matter of habit. Therefore, it is easy to change your habit of sleeping longer to getting up early.
1. Do not immediately change your regime drastically.
Start gradually, getting up every day 15 minutes earlier than yesterday. Thus, gradually you will be able to wake up refreshed and vigorous without any problems at the time you need.
2. Fall asleep early.
Many of those who find it difficult to wake up in the morning have simply accustomed their bodies to this rhythm. People who stay up late for a long period of time subsequently simply cannot fall asleep early. In order to train yourself to go to bed early, for some time you will have to force yourself to get up early, despite the fatigue, for some time.
3. Place the alarm clock as far away from the bed as possible.
If the alarm is nearby, you will be tempted to turn it off and go to sleep for another couple of minutes (hours), which does not always end well. Try to forget about the snooze button on your alarm clock. The fact is that if you use it, then after a while you will simply reflexively press on it in a sleepy state, without even understanding what you are doing.
4. After turning off the alarm, immediately make your bed and leave the bedroom.
Don't let the thoughts of going back to bed come true. It is not always easy for even "larks" to resist the temptation to crawl under the covers again and close their eyes for at least a couple of minutes. Therefore, if you quickly make your bed and go about your morning business, you can quickly dispel the "sleepy mood".
5. Do not "haggle" with your body.
If you allow a thought like: "It's still early, I'll get some sleep, and then I'll just get ready faster …", then you will not only oversleep, but also hardly accustom yourself to getting up early.
6. Plan in the evening.
In order to wake up in the morning filled with enthusiasm and energy, you need to plan your affairs in the evening. Be sure to plan for the morning that is most important to you, and this will motivate you. Make a to-do list in the evening and it will be much easier for you to get started in the morning.
7. Reward yourself.
Teaching yourself to get up early is hard enough, so you have to be patient. A system of rewards and rewards will help you in this matter. Develop this system for yourself personally, because only you can thoroughly know what exactly will be a serious motivation for you. By encouraging yourself, you will not only make the process easier and more enjoyable, but you will also increase your self-esteem.
8. Make good use of your time.
If you wake up an hour earlier and the first thing you do is rush to social networks, blogs and forums, then perhaps it is worth considering - do you need this? In the early morning, our body works almost to its maximum, so it is unforgivable to use this potential in vain.
