Every year, like every moment, is very special and important. And already at the end of November we begin to feel a little sad, a slight melancholy appears, and every time we are surprised at how quickly time has flown by.
WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SUMMER
At the end of the year, we start asking ourselves questions, did I manage to do everything? Did you do everything the way you wanted? After all, this year will not happen again, which means that we will not repeat ourselves.
Do you know what is the most interesting? The fact that you are no longer the person who woke up on January 1 of this year. You have acquired new habits and skills, you have begun to look at the world differently, perhaps your environment has changed and you are full of new insights.
So let's boldly plunge into our world, reflect a little, understand what gave us strength, and where, on the contrary, we spent it most.
Of course, ideally, to summarize, you should already have a plan that you wrote on New Year's holidays for this year, and you just need to look at it. If you don't have one, let's create a resume from memory. And for the next year, we will definitely draw up a plan for our dreams, but more on that later.
SUMMARY OF THE YEAR
Summing up the results of the year, we can understand what we will take with us in the New Year, what we will change, and what we will completely leave in the old one. This is a fairly large volume of inner work, which will return us to pleasant and not very events, but which will give us a huge impetus forward, will make it possible to understand why we are who we are this minute. This leads us to awareness, which means this is a great chance to become the best version of ourselves in the New Year.
Summing up, like the plan itself, it is better to record on paper or in electronic form, this is at your discretion. Answer yourself the following questions:
MY YEAR
- How can I describe this year?
- What was my mood during the year? How has it changed?
- How do I feel about this year?
- Do you want to be sad or happy? Why?
- What was the brightest event in your personal life?
- What was the brightest event in the professional field?
- What difficulties did I have to go through?
- How did I deal with them? Who and what helped me?
- In what mood do I want to go to the New Year?
PLANS OF THE YEAR
- Did I manage to realize everything that I had planned this year?
- What exactly did I manage? Who or what helped me?
- What tasks have I not fully completed? Why? Can I complete them before the end of the year? What do I need for this?
- What plans and dreams did you fail to realize? Why?
- Do I want to implement them next year? Do I need them? Or can I refuse them ?!
- What unplanned tasks have appeared this year? How did they come about? How did you manage to solve them? / Why couldn't you solve them?
- What is important for me to consider when planning next year?
PERSON OF THE YEAR
- How have I changed?
- What new rules of life and values have I got?
- What have I learned this year?
- What new habits do I have?
- This year I have done what I have not done before … (list)
- Who influenced me this year? Why and how?
- I am proud of myself because I 1)… 2)… 3)…
- Who am I grateful to this year?
- Which event changed me the most?
For a faster and shorter year analysis, you can use the concise summary system KEEP, STOP, START.
KEEP is what I have been doing and will continue to do so. For example: sports, painting and English courses.
STOP is what I will stop doing. For example: planning at the last moment, drinking alcohol every day.
START is what I will start doing. For example: travel more, pay attention to parents.
And the main question: Was you honest with yourself in answering these questions?
By the way, during the analysis of the year, you can turn on relaxing music, light candles and pour a glass of your favorite wine, and why not ?!
PLAN FOR NEXT YEAR
Well, if you have already summed up the results of this year, then now is the time when you can make plans for the future. Create your next year full and bright, full of success, interesting events and adventures.
In order for this to be as effective as possible and summing up the results after a year, you were even more satisfied with yourself, follow the following rules, make them a habit:
- Get a notebook, a pen, and ideally an Excel spreadsheet. Call it “The Book of Life,” “My Plans for the Year,” etc. Remember, you use this document all year long!
- Highlight a few main areas that are important to you. It is them that you will fill with your plans and dreams. As an example, these can be the following zones: Me, Parents, My family, Work (Career), Acquisitions (Purchases), etc. There may be more of them.
- Write down all your wishes in each zone. Dream! Write what you want and what you want to do in each direction.
- After all the dreams have been written out, they need to be transformed into plans and tasks, that is, they need to be grounded a little. Next to each dream, create 4 more columns:
- Actions - what needs to be done, concrete steps that will bring the dream into reality.
- Resources - Write down what will help you realize your plans. This could include people who can help you. For example, one of your friends or colleagues.
- Deadline - set the date and month by what time you want to implement this plan. Also, opposite each action, you can put a date so that you know when you need to do something or agree with someone.
- Changes are an additional block. As you review your plans throughout the year, you can make additional changes or comments. What is important to pay attention to in order to implement the plan.
- If you still have dreams that today you do not know how to make, write them down separately. Maybe they should be replaced with something else, or maybe left only with dreams. The choice is yours.
- Check your plans monthly, check them against what is happening now. You can add new ideas and plans throughout the year. Some people use the traffic light technique and mark the execution of plans with different colors, as an option: red - what is not completed or the deadline has already passed, yellow - plans are in the process of implementation, green - what we have already completed. By the way, marking your completed plans with some color or deleting them from the list of plans, dopamine is released in our body - a hormone of pleasure, produced during sex. It's like an added bonus when we make our dreams come true.
Create new goals, dream, present pictures of your plans. Visualization has not yet been canceled J Your plans are you, make your New Year the best, the best, just for you, follow it, compare it with your “I” and enjoy the fact that you become more successful, and dreams - reality.
Isn't that what we are planning for the chimes ?!
