If you want to define your socionic type, then always start from your own manifestations, your strong functions, your reactions to the world around you. Do not try to do this based on the types of other people and the types of your socionic relationships.
One of the mistakes in socionic typing is trying to determine your type based on the socionic types of your acquaintances, friends, relatives, and the nature of your relationship with them. In this case, there are several risks that significantly reduce the typing reliability.
Risk 1. The socionic type of your partner, in the relationship with whom you are trying to determine your type, could be defined incorrectly. If your partner did not pass socionic typing with professionals in socionics, then there is a high probability of a mistake.
Self-typing by descriptions, typing by tests, amateur typing at socionic meetings, typing by interviews, physiognomic typing - all these methods do not give a reliable result in determining the sociotype.
Risk 2. The type of socionic relationship with your partner cannot be determined if sociotypes are unknown. For example, it seems to you that you have an ideal relationship with your friend Balzac (an intuitive-logical introvert), you communicate in perfect harmony, understand and complement each other. It seems to you that this is a dual relationship. And since you have a dual relationship with Balzac, you conclude that your type is Napoleon (sensory-ethical extrovert).
However, the problem is that there is no method in socionics that would determine the type of socionic relations between people. Socionics works the other way around: first, we determine the types of partners, and only then we determine the type of socionic relations using a special table. Inverse typing - from the type of relationship to the types of partners - is not provided for in socionics.
Summarize. When you determine your socionic type, starting from the sociotype of your partner and the type of your relationship according to the socionic table, you run the risk of making a mistake a) in the type of partner, b) in the type of our relationship. This way of typing does not give a reliable and reliable result in determining the socionic type. Of course, as entertainment, you can speculate or joke about this topic, but you should not take these arguments and hypotheses seriously.
In determining your type, it is always necessary to build on your own manifestations, modes of action, reactions and behavior.
