The ability to control yourself is necessary in any situation. If you want to make the right decisions, behave according to your own principles and beliefs, then learn to keep your thoughts and actions under control.
Instructions
Step 1
Get plenty of rest. It should be of no less quality than the work you are doing. Otherwise, you can overwork and lose control over yourself, because after exhausting the body, you will shatter your nerves.
Step 2
Try to solve the problem quickly. The burden of unfulfilled work causes a feeling of confusion and one's own powerlessness, and relations that are not clarified in time contribute to the fact that the conflict grows like a snowball. It unsettles you. As a result, you lose control over the situation and over yourself.
Step 3
Use the breath of the yogis for concentration. Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position. Close your eyes and try to relax as much as possible. Direct your mind's eye inward and even out your breathing. First, just breathe deeply and evenly, and then master special breathing techniques, for example, inhale one nostril, and exhale through the other, alternate inhaling through the nose and mouth, hold the air while inhaling or exhaling. You can find detailed instructions in the yoga literature.
Step 4
Be more tolerant. Not all people are equally smart. It takes someone more time than you to understand or do something. Spend more time with young children and older people. This will help you develop self-restraint and tolerance.
Step 5
Organize your relaxation. This can include exercise, walking in the park, skydiving, interacting with a pet, embroidering or knitting. Find an activity that calms you down, but do not seize on stress or fight it with alcohol.
Step 6
Play for time. Before a harsh answer, which you will surely regret later, escapes your lips, stop and slowly count from one to ten to yourself. You will feel that you have noticeably calmed down. It is very important to be able to restrain yourself while you are overwhelmed by strong emotions.
