Pride and arrogance are two completely different manifestations of the essence of a person. In the first case, we are talking about a highly organized personality, in the second - about an immature soul, the predominance of the ego over the higher components of the inner world of a person.

Arrogance
Arrogance

Pride and arrogance. Two different manifestations of human nature. Arrogance can be compared to the pride that people endowed with power and wealth suffer so much. Some argue that arrogance or pride is a sign of a personality disorder, and pride is a quality of a true aristocrat.

Pride

In the life of one of the famous generals there was a significant case. His army marched through the desert for a long time, unable to replenish water supplies. The liquid was running out, some began to rave and show signs of panic. Finally, we managed to find a large lake full of clear and transparent water. Almost all the warriors rushed to greedily drink the water, filling their stomachs, washing and splashing.

After the thirst had been quenched, the warriors lay down on the shore. Some even fainted from excess fluid. Only the commander with some of his comrades waited until everyone got drunk, slowly approached the lake, also slowly taking the required number of sips.

The fact is that he was a proud man. The commander showed not only patience, but also respect for himself as a person. If he was arrogant, he would order everyone to stop and taste the water first. He acted quite the opposite, like a real aristocrat.

After the warriors saw the behavior of their leader, they felt ashamed of themselves. It is possible that for some of them this day was a turning point in their lives.

Arrogance

Arrogance is often shown by a person who considers himself better than others. Often this is due to a high position in society, or the presence of wealth that is inherited, or accidentally.

As practice shows, a person with a stable psyche, who has independently earned recognition in society or amassed capital, will not show arrogance. He understands perfectly well that at any moment you can lose everything, and all the values of the world are, by and large, a convention.

There is a legend about one of the best disciples of Buddha Saraha, who was the favorite of the local ruler. The ruler, seeing the high level of education and spirituality in Saraha, decided to make him his son-in-law and propose to rule the country after himself. Saraha just laughed at this, saying that he was not so sick as to arrogantly treat people and become a ruler when there are so many wonderful opportunities to realize his essence.

For these words, the ruler was very offended and ordered Saraha to leave, to which he noticed that such a behavior of a noble person was an act of arrogance. After all, they managed to refuse him, expressing their opinion. If there was a ruler of a higher level of awareness, he would not pay attention to Saraha's remark.

Arrogance suffers from the majority of representatives of the bureaucratic apparatus, deputies, show business and the film industry. Even athletes began to proudly ignore the questions of journalists, show disrespect to spectators and fans.

Summary

Pride is a sign of aristocracy, a high level of intelligence, will and spirituality. Not everyone can boast that they always remain proud and true to their principles.

More often than not, people show unscrupulousness and arrogance by submitting to their ego. When a person gets one step higher on the social ladder, his head starts to spin. Yesterday's friends become just acquaintances with whom they are not interested. Arrogance is manifested - a sign of the immaturity of the soul.
