Psychologists say that it is impossible to completely get rid of negative thoughts. Even optimists have anxiety from time to time. The only difference is that optimists know how to change attitudes towards restless thinking.

Instructions

Step 1

Memorize the good moments that happened and are happening in life. Perhaps you do not notice them or prefer not to pay attention to small pleasures, but this does not mean that they do not happen to you almost every day. Maybe you read a new book, took a good picture of your child, or heard a compliment from a stranger? Agree, thinking about good things is much more pleasant than about unpaid bills or missed opportunities.

Step 2

Do not regret what happened to you in the past. Even if the trouble happened yesterday, in any case, it is already history. The past is valuable only because on its basis in the present you have become what you are. If you feel the need to correct a mistake, then give it a try. If not, stop playing the unpleasant situation in your head and let it go. Otherwise, she, like an annoying wasp, will prevent you from focusing on what is important right now, and will try to sting you again and again.

Step 3

Negative thoughts inhibit any development, because with a dull or irritated mood, nothing goes well. Perhaps you yourself are aware that the thoughts that bother you, in fact, are not so large and terrible. Then ask yourself just one question: "Will this be so important to me in five years?" Agree, in most cases, instead of answering, you will have a slight smile on your lips.

Step 4

Don't sit around. To distract yourself from bad thoughts, take another step towards your goal, take up your favorite hobbies, go where you have never been, play with your child, play sports, or just get some sleep. If you are not busy with anything, then your restless thoughts, like cockroaches, will start running into your head, and will not give rest. And the satisfaction from pleasant activities will give positive emotions, thanks to which a good mood and new ideas will appear.
