If you notice that your loved one has ceased to enjoy life, has lost interest in everything that is happening around, feels oppressed and lonely, then you just need to help him. This blues is called depression, and in most cases it is quite possible to help cope with it on your own.
Instructions
Step 1
The first thing to do is listen! If you notice symptoms of depression in your loved one, do not wait for him to contact you, but start a conversation yourself. Find out what worries him, when and why the person felt unwell. Determining the cause of depression makes it much easier to deal with it.
Step 2
Do your best to create a comfortable environment for the depressed person. If the very cause of depression cannot be eliminated for objective reasons, then try to make sure that nothing reminds of it. And in no case should we talk about the insignificance of the situation, the simplicity of solving the problem, because this can only aggravate the situation.
Step 3
Do not offer ready-made solutions to fix the problem, but simply help your loved one find a way out of the situation on their own, slightly pushing him to this.
Step 4
Get the person active. Invite him to swim in the pool or offer to do exercises together, go fishing, hunting, and into the forest for mushrooms. Fresh air and exercise can help cope with depression.
Step 5
Capture your loved one with something interesting. After all, you certainly know what he loves, what activities can give him the greatest pleasure. Offer to go shopping, do handicrafts, or go to a museum. There are many options, and your choice will depend only on your imagination and the preferences of the person who is depressed.
Step 6
If the person does not want to open up to you, then get a bottle of good wine and a box of chocolates. Alcohol will help him relax a little and trust you, and sweets will cheer him up. The main thing is not to overdo it, because the consumption of alcohol and sugar in large quantities can adversely affect health.
