In Pushkin's play Boris Godunov, the dying tsar, while instructing his teenage son who is to take the throne, especially emphasized: “Be a little short! The royal voice should not be lost in the air in an empty way. The father was absolutely right, and it was not his fault that the fate of his son in the play was very sad. Some people wonder how they should behave in order to be heard.

Instructions

Step 1

Perhaps the worst, unfortunate way is to go everywhere with your opinion, to impose it, even when it comes to things in which you are poorly versed. Believe me, you will achieve the exact opposite effect by this, earning a reputation not as an expert, but as an empty talker, a batter. And then, in a situation where you really have something to say, your opinion will either simply be dismissed or condescendingly ignored.

Step 2

Remember the simple truth: "To be heard, learn to listen yourself!" Treat your interlocutors with courtesy and respect. Don't interrupt them, let them finish. Even if you completely disagree with what they said, do not use derogatory expressions like, "What nonsense!" Refrain from contemptuous and sarcastic facial expressions, gestures. After all, you can express disagreement, convince you that you are right, without belittling your opponent's dignity.

Step 3

Take it as an immutable rule: speak only to the point and only on topics in which you feel like a fish in water. Beginning your speech, do not beat around the bush, do not get lost in secondary details. Try to get straight to the point, speak clearly, clearly, convincingly. In doing so, you will quickly gain a reputation for being intelligent and worth listening to.

Step 4

If they object to you, in no case get personal, do not humiliate your opponent: they say, who are you to argue with me! Even if his objections are, to put it mildly, stupid. Calmly and reasonedly prove your case.

Step 5

In the event that you have a serious conversation (for example, an important meeting is scheduled), be sure to try to prepare for it in advance. Consider your speech by clearly dividing it into a short introduction, body, and conclusions. If you need some statistical data for greater persuasiveness, find them and write them down so as not to forget during your speech. Try to predict what objections and counterarguments other participants in the conversation may have, and think about how best to refute them by insisting on your opinion.
