Our life is largely related to how an important part of the body - the brain - works and functions. Working with this central part of the nervous system, you can change reactions, create other situations, and improve your well-being. How do you learn to control your brain?
Instructions
Step 1
Train your brain. The main functional characteristics to look out for are strength and coordination of the mind, flexibility, endurance. The power of the mind enables us to focus on the right amount of time. Flexibility is the ability to switch from one to the other. Endurance is determined by the duration of a high level of activity, and coordination allows you to operate with several concepts at once or conduct a number of parallel thought processes at the same time.
Step 2
Remove clutter in your thoughts. To do this, understand what is occupying your brain. Write down all your thoughts on a piece of paper. Never mind the clarity of the wording. Write down everything that comes to mind: feelings and desires, fears, plans and tasks.
Step 3
Then start combining words that have similar meanings and reduce wording to a minimum. Do this until there is absolutely nothing left and nothing to write down.
Step 4
Train your attention. Decide how long you want to focus on. For example, two minutes. Place the watch with the second hand in front of you and turn on the TV at the same time. When concentration begins to dissipate and you begin to be distracted by the television program, return to the task at hand. Consistent concentration can only be achieved through training. Agree with yourself that you will pay attention to what is happening at the moment.
Step 5
Track what you are paying attention to in the first place. Look around the room, highlighting a few rounded objects in it. If you pay attention to problems, life will be full of troubles. Concentrating on particulars, the world will lose logical connection and integrity. Focus on creative processes and life will be interesting and varied.
Step 6
Train your imaginative thinking. Close your eyes and imagine yourself at the seaside. Hear the sound of the waves, smell the salty water, feel the spray that burst out of the depths. Continue to contemplate the picture on the inner screen of perception. Feel the wind blowing, grains of sand on your skin, the sun's rays. Come back to reality after a while. You will feel how your body is relaxed and rested. All this is possible thanks to your work with the brain.
