Step 1
Get rid of negative emotions. If aggression, anger, irritation overwhelm you, then there is no place for happiness, and all further efforts will go to waste. Throw out the negative with active actions: go for a walk in the forest all alone and, choosing a secluded place, pick up a stick, hit it on a tree or on the ground, shout and swear. You can do the same with a pillow at home or a punching bag at the gym.

Learn to forgive and forget hurt feelings. In order for happiness to not be overshadowed by anything now and in the future, one must be able to live in the present. Understand that the past only makes you unhappy, so you need forgiveness, not the guilty person - you will do yourself a favor, not him. Free yourself from the burden of resentment, throw painful thoughts out of your head. And, most importantly, forgive yourself, because such an offense causes much more pain - accept your mistakes, draw conclusions from them and forget.

Find a suitable job. Analyze whether the current job is right for you, because spending several hours a day on an unloved occupation is fraught with depression. It's never too late to change your specialty, because there are a large number of courses that can be completed in just a few months. But often it is enough just to change the direction of activity, and life already changes radically, and work begins to bring happiness. For example, a lawyer can organize his own firm, a hairdresser - his own beauty salon.
Step 4
Move. You don't have to do strenuous physical exercises in order to bring yourself to fatigue, plus to your main job. Enjoy the movement: it can be playing sports that you like, dancing in the studio or even at home, or going to the gym. Physical activity stimulates the production of endorphins, the hormone of happiness, so incorporate it into your daily routine. Cycling, brisk walking, or other similar activities after work can also help you get rid of the negativity you got during the day.
Step 5
Make yourself happy. The main source of happiness is communication with friends, relatives or the other half, so meet more people who will always support and listen to you. Learn to enjoy the little things: nice weather, beautiful sunset, funny neighbor girl, soft warm blanket, delicious salad, aromatic tea, etc. Try to notice these seemingly insignificant things - not just understand that they cause a smile, but also delay this moment, not think about anything except a pleasant event that is happening to you. You will understand that happiness is near - you just need to notice.
