In everyday city life, sometimes there is simply no time to feel the greatness of the coming holiday - the King of all days, the Celebrations of all celebrations, as our ancestors called Easter. All the more obvious is the need to look deep into one's soul, which gets tired of vanity and is drawn to the eternal light of a spiritual holiday - the victory of Life over death. How can you help yourself to catch the state that will fill us with expectation, joy and lift us above everyday problems, workdays and other earthly concerns?

Instructions

Step 1

Of course, the first step on this path is the observance of Great Lent. But many at the same time limit themselves only to external fasting - they prepare lean food, during the entire period or in the first and last weeks, which are considered the most stringent in this regard. However, the real goal of Great Lent is to purify oneself, one's thoughts through asceticism. No wonder there is a saying: "Sin is not what is in the mouth, but what is out of the mouth" - these are evil words, envy, hatred of circumstances, people, sometimes those closest to you. Great Lent is a wonderful occasion to understand that Love is the basis of all life, and one of the main tasks of a person is to grow within himself love for the world around him, to help others find the source of goodness within himself.

Step 2

If at normal times you rarely manage to go to church, during Great Lent you should devote more time to this. Even just entering and standing in the church, not necessarily during the service, is useful for inner harmony - the silence and tranquility of the temple helps to cope with anxiety, establish a dialogue with oneself, and put energy flows in order. The atmosphere of the temple pacifies, takes away the blackness from the soul. It is in the temple that a solution to a difficult problem can come, thanks to the fact that here we listen to the inner voice and choose the right path.

Step 3

Music, books and movies are among the essential components of the special atmosphere of each holiday. You can also prepare for the main events of the Orthodox calendar with their help - for example, listen to religious chants, compositions on relevant topics, both those that came to us from time immemorial and those written by composers of eras closer to us. On the eve of Easter, the necessary mood will be created by reading "The Summer of the Lord" by Ivan Shmelev, and enjoying the performing skills of the choir of the brethren of the Valaam Holy Transfiguration Monastery, and thinking about their earthly deeds, good and unkind, together with the monk Anatoly from Pavel Lungin's film "The Island" …

Step 4

Celebrating Easter, we prepare our home for it. For the holiday, it is imperative to clear the space in every sense. This means not only general cleaning, but also cleansing the energy of the house - walk through the rooms with a lit candle, better consecrated in the temple. The atmosphere in the dwelling will immediately change - it has long been known what power fire has in the fight against negative streams, and it is not for nothing that the esoteric candle flame is endowed with special properties. Well, how can you do without a business that any housewife holds a special honor - the preparation of traditional Easter dishes, Easter and Easter cakes. And how much joy the children get from the process of dyeing eggs, which can be painted and decorated in appliqués, and so on, as far as imagination permits.

Step 5

On Holy Saturday, we partake of one more important event - the descent of the Holy Fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The many-day wait is crowned by the participation in the Procession of the Cross and the Easter service, and the exclamation, which for more than two thousand years has made humanity cry with happiness: "Christ is Risen!"
