When it is required to write a description of a student, student, employee, we often get lost and do not suspect that there is a template that will suit HR psychologists.
Instructions
Step 1
Most of the characteristics begin with the phrase: "During the time of work / study / internship, he has proven himself on the positive / negative side." It should be remembered that even if the characteristic is written on a sad occasion, you should not aggravate the poor fellow's position, but look for positive facts. For example, say: "Has established himself as a conflict-free, executive worker." This part is important not so much for its psychological depth as for its stylistic monotony. It is curious that a household, non-government characteristic also begins with a general phrase. For example: "He is a normal person, this Ivan Ivanovich" or "Masha Petrova is a rare clever girl."
Step 2
Individual characteristics of a person. Is he pedantic and neat or creative and able to work on three projects at the same time? Artist or organizer? Does he have developed oral or written communication skills? It is important to resist the temptation to feel like Leo Tolstoy and an X-ray machine at the same time. The characteristic is a dry official document, not a psychological and philosophical treatise. And even more so not an anonymous letter, the purpose of which is to denigrate or whitewash a person. The author of the characterization must show himself as a balanced and impartial person and maintain a balance between positive and negative epithets. For everyday characteristics, the same rules apply: "Masha Petrova is a rare clever girl: kind, caring, learns to be A".
Step 3
Context, environment. In the case of students, the family and classmates are described. For example, "He grows up in a complete intelligent family, his parents fully influence him, he maintains equal, friendly relations with his classmates." To characterize the employee, you need to talk about his style of interaction with colleagues. For example, "Does not maintain personal contacts with colleagues, but enjoys the respect and trust of the management." Typical phrases are: "Has his own opinion and knows how to defend it", "Observes the charter of the educational institution / daily routine / work schedule." The main thing is to clearly indicate that a person opposes himself to the team or is inclined to dominate?
Step 4
Fit for purpose. A written document, in dry official language, makes an assumption as to how fit a student or employee is for a new endeavor. If this is a characteristic for law enforcement officers and the reason is sad, then this item is skipped, but the social or asocial characteristics of a person are described in a little more detail. For example, "Has no bad habits", "Has numerous complaints related to violation of discipline." Accordingly, at the household level, the personal characteristic will sound like this: "Masha Petrova is a rare clever girl: kind, caring, she learns to be A grade. And her friends are all so smart and respect her at work. If you want to marry her, then hurry up. They will beat her back." !"
