Sometimes there is a need to clearly articulate your mood for others. There are situations when there is no desire to communicate and you want to talk about it tactfully. Sometimes, on the contrary, emotions are overwhelming, and you can spend hours sharing your elevated state of mind.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are sad and depressed, and someone close to you is interested in your state of mind, you can use one of the generally accepted metaphors. For example, the expression “cats scratching their souls” refers to anxiety or a prolonged state of sadness. This phrase implies that you may be offered moral support. It remains for you to decide whether you need help at the moment or want to be alone with yourself.
Step 2
When you are apathetic, you can say that "the mood is at zero." A communication partner has no right to demand that you participate in the discussion of personal problems and be offended by an indifferent attitude. You openly admit your mood, and this will help you avoid the other person's assumptions that something negative is happening in your relationship. With complete indifference to the subject of discussion and unwillingness to take any part in solving a particular situation, a person usually says that he "does not care." This phrase is quite tactless and shows the willingness of the interlocutor, if necessary, to break off the relationship.
Step 3
When you are in high spirits, strongly inspired and delighted with something, you can be so overwhelmed with emotions that there is a desire to share the entire chronicle of pleasant events. Initially, you can describe your mood in two or three words. These can be lines from your favorite life-affirming song, like “the soul dances and sings,” or a simple statement of the facts that you are happy.
Step 4
If you are very annoyed and understand that it is better not to touch you at the moment, you can restrain your anger and simply tell the interlocutor that you are out of sorts. Such a statement will sound tactful enough, provided that you do not raise your voice to your partner. A normal and well-mannered person will understand everything perfectly and leave you alone.
Step 5
People in love often express their state of mind in poetry or lines from popular songs. A poetic declaration of love is pleasant to hear for both women and men. Line: "Beloved and no one else in this world" will tell about love, loyalty and seriousness of the relationship. Expressing emotions in poetry can be much easier than confessing feelings in your own words.
Step 6
When a person's will is broken, he is shocked by dramatic circumstances and does not see a way out of this situation, it is difficult for him to find the right words to describe all the pain and heaviness in his soul. In such a mood, it is worth reporting that you are deeply depressed, and the interlocutor himself will understand the whole drama of the situation.
