Step 1
If a citizen of the Russian Federation turns fourteen years old, it is necessary to provide a birth certificate to obtain a passport. If a citizen changes his passport at twenty or forty-five years of age, or has changed his surname, you must provide the old passport that is in his use.

We present a certificate of registration of a citizen, which can be obtained from a housing maintenance office or a passport office.

We present the birth certificates of children, if any, to be stamped on your new passport in the “Children” column.

We present a certificate of marriage (divorce), if the citizen is married (divorced). Someone may have several of them.

Citizens who wear glasses need to be photographed in transparent glasses without tinted glasses or without glasses at all.

We write an application for the exchange (receipt) of an identity card.

We pay the state fee.

We hand over all documents to the passport office.

For two weeks, if you need to leave, where it is impossible without an identity card, the employee of the passport office is obliged to issue a certificate stating that your passport is being exchanged. You can also use, for example, a student or military card, if available.

Persons who have served time in places of deprivation of liberty are issued with a temporary identity card, that is, a certificate.
