Often, right at work, we are overcome by drowsiness, especially in the morning and after lunch break. The eyelids close, and no effort of will can return them to their original position. There is fog in my head, treacherous weakness in my arms and legs, and there is still so much work ahead. There are several tried and tested tricks that can boost sleep.

Instructions

Step 1

Natural coffe. As old as the world, tried and true way. However, only a freshly brewed drink will help, no heating in a saucepan or coffee pot. Instant coffee will not have the expected effect (well, unless you cheer up for a while while you put it in a cup). The main thing with coffee is not to overdo it, otherwise, instead of drowsiness, you will get a violation of the heart rhythm and neurotic excitement. Do not accompany coffee drinking by eating cakes and rolls, a full stomach will only increase sleepiness.

If coffee is contraindicated for you, you can replace it with ginseng or lemongrass extract (20 drops per 1 tablespoon of water).

Step 2

Physical exercise. It is good if your organization conducts industrial gymnastics. If there is no such practice, organize it for yourself (at least during moments of drowsiness). You don't have to jump high and run far. You can just sit down several times and make turns with your body. If for some reason this is not possible, try the following: without getting up from a chair, massage your palms to make them soft and warm, and then rub your ears, cheeks, and crown of your head in a circular motion for 2-3 minutes. It is useful to massage the forearms and the so-called withers - the area of the 7th cervical vertebra. Having carried out these simple exercises, you will immediately feel the result - thoughts will come in order, and drowsiness will be removed as if by hand.

Step 3

Fresh air. Go outside for a while (balcony, loggia). Frosty air is especially effective in combating drowsiness. Take a few deep breaths. Oxygen, penetrating into every cell of your body, will invigorate you and drive away sleep.

Step 4

Change of activity. Put aside monotonous work for a while and get active. Start from the specifics of your work. If you are sitting at a computer, get up and invite your boss or colleagues to go for correspondence, walk to the next department for reports, rummage in the closet in search of the necessary papers, etc. Get up, walk, change your body position more often.

Step 5

Essential oils. If conditions permit (you have your own office or colleagues do not mind), you can drop 2-3 drops of lavender, jasmine, lemon or grapefruit natural oil on a cotton pad, put it nearby and inhale the vapors. It is desirable that the disc is not visible to others.

Step 6

Dream. Yes, the best way to combat sleepiness is to sleep. If there is even the slightest opportunity to take a nap, do it. Even a short nap will help you to cheer up and come to your senses.
