Very often we have to meet with criticism in our address. It can come both from relatives, colleagues at work and school, and from unfamiliar or completely unfamiliar people. Criticism can have a different character and external coloring, therefore, one should respond to it in accordance with the situation.

Any criticism can be classified into one of three categories: justified criticism, unfair and incomprehensible.

Unfair criticism is very simple - try to ignore it. The main thing is not to be mistaken in accepting such criticism as unfounded. If you are sure that the apponent is building his thoughts about you on the basis of personal opinion, without the presence of facts and is also trying to convince you that he is right, just close your eyes to this and do not pay attention to such remarks. Surely in this case, you are criticized by an outsider or not very close person, whose opinion does not matter to you.

But with incomprehensible criticism, the situation is more complicated. In such a situation, it is completely unclear with what intention she is addressed to you. Moreover, there are situations when certain phrases or intonations are perceived by us as criticism, although the interlocutor did not put such a meaning into his words. In any case, you should understand the current situation and ask the interlocutor directly what he had in mind. In no case should you be aggressive or enter into a showdown until you are convinced that criticism was really expressed against you, not based on truth.

Reasonable criticism, in turn, does not always carry negativity and is sometimes worth listening to. However, this is difficult to do, since most often it is perceived painfully, because it is unpleasant for any person to realize their shortcomings. Consider that fair criticism is invaluable - it helps us pay attention to our shortcomings and correct them in time, turning them into strengths.

If justified criticism is not expressed in the correct form, do not seek to immediately enter into an argument or object to the interlocutor. First, tell him that, of course, he is right, but you cannot make comments in this form. Believe me, this will discourage your opponent, and you can calmly analyze the information received.

Try not to resort to emotions, but to soberly evaluate valid criticism. If you draw your conclusions correctly, then it will turn in your favor. Take note of what you are doing wrong and reconsider your perspective. Of course, this is not an easy task, but if there is a desire to improve, you will certainly succeed!
