Until recently, parents could not boast: their child is so obedient, polite, well-mannered. And suddenly a son or daughter was replaced. Demonstrative disobedience begins, then frequent and inexplicable mood swings, violent feelings about an ugly appearance, excess weight, or because no one understands. Alas, all these negative moments inevitably arise when a child begins a transitional age. Therefore, the father and mother need to know how to properly behave with adolescents.
Instructions
Step 1
With the onset of adolescence, the work of the endocrine system is sharply activated in a teenager. The endocrine glands begin to produce a large amount of hormones, therefore, drastic changes occur in the body of a boy or girl, affecting his anatomy, physiology and psychology.
Step 2
It is because of changes in the concentration and composition of hormones that the behavior of a teenager becomes impudent, defiant, arrogant, sometimes on the verge of permissible. And this can lead to conflicts not only with peers, but also with parents, teachers, and other adults. Some teenagers become very vulnerable, quick-tempered, any trifle can upset them or, on the contrary, make them angry, cause an aggressive reaction.
Step 3
The teenager really wants to prove to everyone around him, and to himself that he is no longer a child, that he cannot be treated like a fool. That is why he is sensitive to control by adults, meets with hostility any order from his parents, even if it concerns the most mundane, familiar things (for example, helping with the housework or studying at school). He becomes withdrawn, touchy.
Step 4
Some adolescents during this period experience the most real complexes because of their appearance. A couple of extra pounds (often existing only in their imagination) or a barely noticeable pimple on the face can turn into a universal tragedy. What can we say about cases when a guy or a girl is really noticeable overweight or has acne! This can cause a teenager to become deeply depressed.
Step 5
Since, as already noted, any trifle is often perceived by adolescents very sharply, they may have ideas about the meaninglessness of life, that they are lonely, no one needs in this world. This most often happens in adolescents belonging to the Goth or Emo subculture. If parents do not notice this problem in time, or even worse, start to ridicule the “stupid experiences” of their son or daughter, things can go to the point of complete loss of understanding in the family, anger of the teenager, and in the most severe cases, even an attempt at suicide.
Step 6
A child's adolescence requires patience, understanding and tact from parents. Although, of course, a teenager should not indulge in everything thoughtlessly. If a child is thinking about suicide or it is very difficult to go through this age, you need to consult a psychologist.
