There are four types of temperament, according to which the emotional makeup of human nature is classified - these are sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and melancholic. In order to determine what type of temperament prevails in a person's behavior, you need to observe his behavior and analyze it.

You can distinguish a sanguine person in your environment by a confident gait and quick movements. His speech is clear and convincing, and his emotions are always in control. The only drawback of a sanguine person is that he quickly loses interest in something, if he does not have a constant external stimulus that would keep him tense. He quickly reacts to all events and quite easily resigns himself to the troubles that arise in his life.

The mood of the choleric is changing rapidly. His movements are always swift, his speech is fast and emotional. He is easily carried away by new ideas, but quickly loses interest in them. He has good working capacity, but due to the unstable nervous system, he quickly gets tired. Extremely unbalanced, suffers from frequent mood swings. In communication with others, he is often harsh and easily irritated.

Phlegmatic can be determined by the almost complete absence of the manifestation of any feelings or emotions. His slowness and equanimity speak of a stable psyche, an even mood and steady aspirations. In work, a phlegmatic person is unhurried, but very stubborn and diligent. It is difficult to piss him off, but he has little contact with people.

A melancholic is a person who is mostly self-absorbed. He is passive and weakly reacts to external stimuli. He does not like a change of scenery, but he is constant in his feelings. Melancholic is easy to offend, because he takes everything to heart. He gets along very badly with people, is often closed and uncommunicative.

Not so often there are people who have only a certain type of temperament. Usually two types are combined, one of which is more pronounced, and the second complements the character with small nuances. It can be a sanguine person with a melancholic bias, or a phlegmatic person with signs of a sanguine temperament. Each type of temperament has its good and bad sides.
