The behavior of an adult and a child is very different. But someone even in adulthood sometimes behaves unconsciously, but there are those who, while still in school, learned to take responsibility. A person grows up not from physical years, but from what he had to endure.
The process of human change occurs gradually, and the point is not in physical transformation, but in psychological age. First there is childish carelessness, then youthful maximalism, but gradually all this is replaced by tolerance and calmness. If at the age of 15 you could honestly express your thoughts, then after 20 you have to reckon with others, since well-being often depends on them.
Age and responsibility
Quite often, psychologists associate growing up with obligations that fall on the shoulders of the individual. The more functions a person takes on, the faster he grows. If in childhood a child has his own responsibilities, if he understands that he must do something, that no one will replace him, and failure to fulfill will lead to terrible consequences, he quickly learns independence. If the parents protect the child from stress, are ready to insure at any time, then the baby simply refuses to grow, it is not profitable for him.
Having a family, children makes you grow up very quickly. When a partner, children and an empty refrigerator are waiting at home, a person mobilizes his strength, looks for a way out, makes decisions, and this makes him an adult. The inability to give up social functions, the need to earn and support someone greatly contributes to an increase in psychological age.
The intensity of life
Each person lives at their own pace. Someone does very little a year, and someone too much. By living in fast mode, you mature more intensely. The more events have passed, the more circumstances are lived, the faster experience is accumulated, worldly wisdom arises. This is clearly seen in children who often moved, they easily understand people, know how to adapt to teams, and achieve great heights.
Any experience makes it possible to become more independent and important, but there is no need to confuse theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Sometimes a person gets an education, reads a lot of books, takes dozens of seminars, but at the same time does not realize everything that he has received. This does not promote growth, it only increases the number of tools that lie idle in the subconscious. Only activity gives an opportunity to change, only successes and mistakes give a very important experience. It is important to work, applying what has been learned in practice, improving the process, making changes and adjustments.
An adult is an independent person who relies only on himself, does not depend on other people's opinions, can create comfortable conditions for life, and also understands what he wants in the future, makes attempts to make his tomorrow much better.
