The boss calls you and explains that there is a job that no one else can handle. That the fate of the company depends on your exceptional abilities and actions, and only you are able to save the entire team. By praising your talent, the boss expects your self-esteem to prevail over sanity, and you rush to do a lot of work for free. It may be outside the scope of your job description or your plan. Do not give in to flattery, smile and all kind let us understand that you know the true reason for such statements. If you are not afraid to ruin your relationship with your boss, refuse, citing the fact that you are already loaded with your direct work. You can agree, but ask for a bonus or time off.
Step 2
You think you should be paid better for your work. But the leader refers to the crisis and frightens the market instability. Thus, he tries to instill in you the fear of losing your job and hold on to your place, despite the low salary. Don't fall for such vague explanations. Study the service market and justify your request with specific examples. If he doesn't agree, you'd better look for a better paid job.
Step 3
Does the boss say that you have bright prospects and in the future you will become a leader? But right now, you are too young and inexperienced, so you have to work hard and overtime to reach your goal? Look at other business leaders if there are people your age among them. Most likely, the boss is deceiving you and is trying to squeeze everything possible in his own interests. By reassuring you in this way, he wants to achieve maximum efficiency, but you are unlikely to get the return. In this case, explain to him that a young leader is promising, he has great potential and a fresh outlook on management. And if you really have good management skills, there is no point in delaying, you are ready to implement them. If it was manipulation, all further attempts to influence you through the prism of ambition will cease.

Your boss can keep you in constant fear of losing your job if he periodically posts a job to your position. Job seekers send resumes, the boss demonstrates them to you and tries to achieve full dedication out of fear. Do not give in, if you did not suit your bosses, you would have been changed to a more promising employee long ago.
