Teaching a child to be independent is perhaps the main thing that parents need to do before starting his school life. After all, the baby will have to face serious difficulties, which means that he will have to bear responsibility. A sense of independence arises in the child under the influence of the lifestyle in the family, for the formation of which the parents are responsible.
Instructions
Step 1
Which parent does not want the child to learn to take on a certain degree of responsibility? For example, so that the child does not have to be forced to do homework, take out the trash, go to the store, but so that he does all this himself. But parents are often themselves to blame for the lack of independence of children.
Step 2
Not all parents ask the child's personal opinion and, moreover, do not allow him to decide which section to go to, when and how much to walk, and exactly how toys and personal belongings should be located in his room. Do not forget that independence is an internal state of a person, and, therefore, it is impossible to impose it from the outside. From this it is worth concluding: independence should be brought up only in those matters that are pleasant and interesting to the baby himself.
Step 3
From what can these roots of independence grow? For example, from household chores in which the child shows great interest and pleasure. Growing up always brings with it a broader range of responsibilities in household chores. If you notice in time that the child fiddles with water a lot, then it is at this moment that he can be entrusted with washing the dishes.
Step 4
It is important not only to notice the emergence, but also not to miss the moment of cooling of interest. This is necessary in order to be able to maintain interest by applying new forms of support. For example, you can introduce a reward system or just give your child a break from household chores at a time when he wants. And it doesn't matter that the hobby lasted only a few weeks, the important thing is that your child has become a little more independent.
Step 5
Another source of independence for a preschooler is the appearance of property, for example, some thing from the adult world. But not every thing is suitable for this business - it should be useful to parents.
Step 6
If parents are fond of tourism, then you can give the boy a compass and be sure to teach him how to use it. Or, if the father loves fishing, let him give the child a personal fishing rod. Also, such things can be a camera, bicycle, telephone or computer.
Step 7
If your heir has the experience of owning things already at preschool age, then you can be sure that it will be much easier for him at school.
